Who's the Best Team in the NBA right now?
You're saying he isn't a next level big man. The reason why D-12 isnt getting enough looks is because Vince needs the ball more thn Hedo did last year. Watch NBA TV they were talking about this. But I do have to agree they are basiclly unstopable in the EAST.
I don't see that next level in Howard.
Maybe it's me but I think Patrick Ewing. Ewing gave us NY fan 20-12 for 12 seasons but he had those 30 point 20 rebound games and gave us hope thinking he was a #1 when he was really a #2
That's what I see in Howard. I don't think you win a Championship with him as your best player. Just my opinion
I call that game- luck.
I don't think Boston wants to meet Orlando in 7 games series. I would be shocked if Orlando would lose to them 4 Times because that bench would overpower Boston.
That was a good win but my money would go on Orlando in 7 games
Orlando can't match up with Boston
Dwight Vs KG= KG
Rashard Vs Kendrick= Rashard
Pietrus Vs Allen= Allen
Vince Vs Pierce= Pierce
Jameer Vs Rondo= Rondo
Ryan Anderson Vs Sheed= Sheed
Jason Williams Vs Marquis Daniels= Daniels
JJ Redick Vs Eddie House= House
Matt Barnes Vs Tony Allen= Tony
Brandon Bass Vs Big Baby= Big Baby
I think you thought to much into it.
Let's to something like this
Howard vs Perkins- Howard easy.
Lewis vs KG- KG would win inside but Lewis can extend the court and pull him outside
Barnes vs Pierce- Pierce, I give you that one
Carter vs Allen- Carter. Allen cannot defend Carter. Carter can at least somewhat defend Allen
Nelson vs Rondo- Rondo because he's longer
Bench
Boston- Sheed, Daniels, Big Baby, Eddie House, Tony Allen
Orlando- Anderson, Pietrus, Reddick, Bass, Williams, Gortat and Johnson
Im taking Orlando. Sheed is either done or he's not hungry as a player. Anderson, Pietrus, Bass and Williams are all better.
The Cavs are the best team...They have beaten all the elite teams and are rolling right now....Wests' comeback has been huge for them, Varejao is being a beast, Z is making his J, Shaq is tossing people down-low, Mo is being a threat, and their D is lockdown. They lost to Boston but they were killing them at one point and gave that one away..They demolished LA...and also Orlando...and they Beat ATL back2back.
I don't think Orlando is the best team.
They have lost to ever other elite east team this year they matched up with.
Howard is a beast, but when a big guy that can match his strength gets on him, shack, Perk, Bynum, he doesn't have the moves in the post to gets buckets or them or dominate they game.
I see the Lakers as the best overall.
Right now the Cavs are playing the best ball.
Point guards on Orlando cannot stop Rondo from penetrating and the Celtics neutralize Howard with Perk 5 points for Howard on christmas 5. Orlando is not an easy out, but I do not see them beating the Celtics best out of 7. Don't see it. Clevland is playing the best ball right now to me though. They will struggle to beat the Celtics it is a toss up.
Boston is the best team (barring injury) based on the fact that this team has won a championship together.... I think they would beat Orlando because Perkins would neutralize Howard and Orlando doesnt have the overrall defensive mindset to beat Boston... Boston would beat Cleveland because the only person they have to stop is Lebron, his supporting cast lead by Mo "frontrunner" Williams wont offer the offense firepower to beat Boston...
Howard can be a next level big man, hes not getting as much looks this year, mainly because Hedo Turkoglu would try to find Howard more often, as opposed to Carter who'd for his own shot first...
As for the best team, i think a 100% healthy Boston is best team in the league, Rondo is a great point guard, Ray Allen is a tremendous shooter, Paul Pierce is a great scorer, and then you start to talk about the bigs, Garnett, Wallace, Davis, Perkins....i like Boston for this one
But I still think your sleeping on the Lakers, they're so skilled at each position, they deserved to be mentioned
well im sure ya'll all know who im gonna say so why say it. but i will say boston is the team i fear the most and i think is capable of beating us. as far as match ups you cant go by this guys equal to this guy or that guy is better then that guy. its tends to not work that way. its more of the team. i feel if my boys paly at there best then they wont lose on top of the x factor who is the best and one of the best to ever play
the cavs are playing the best right now, but i think the lakers, celtics and magic are all better then the cavs once the playoffs hit and everyone plays their best. If the lakers get Fisher some new legs by playoff time, i think they are the most talented with a ton of length. But both orlando and boston are capable of winning it all too. for boston, they just need to make sure they are healthy come playoff time and orlando needs to have jameer at full strength because if they rely too much on vince to create every play, it won't turn out well in the end.
My pick is Orlando.
I have this strange feeling that Vince Carter is getting " It" now. This team goes 12 deep and have a nice trade chip ( M. Gortat) to deal with. Many people may not agree with me but
Unless the Lakers fix the Bynum/Gasol issue- Orlando is the best to me.
Howard is Howard. I don't think he's the best #1 option nor do I think he's a potential next level big man but he's consistent. Nelson has come back to play well, Lewis is a mismatch as a 4. I think the Pietrus, Reddick, Barnes, Johnson and Williams backcourt rotation is a success. What I want to see more of is Ryan Anderson and Howard. I feel that can cause a huge mismatch. I don't see any team in the East stopping a lineup with
Nelson-Carter-Lewis-Anderson-Howard
Agree? Disagree? Thoughts?
