The wizards need to do something basketball wise. They was talk about blowing up the team and trading butler or jamison, but they would would still be stuck with arenas' contract, but this arenas gun thing could become a blessing in disguise. The only bad thing about voiding him contract is it is a home PR move. Players around the league will most likely think the wizards treated him bad and would probably say they wouldnt want to play there but money does talk. Should the wizards void his contract and trade away butler/jamison and blow the team up?
how does a team void a players contract
if you break the contract rules it can be voided. its just like with monta ellis last year. he had to say he got injured in practice because his contracts forbids riding scooters, snowboarding, etc.
got it, so if they void it during the season do they get cap relief during the season? to make a trade?
Wizards send Jamison, Butler, and Miller
Rockets send T-Mac, Anderson, Hayes, and Landry
Heat sends O'Neal, Quinn, and Cook
Wizards get T-Mac, Quinn and Landry
Rockets get Jamison, Cook and O'Neal
Heat get Butler, Miller, Hayes, and Anderson
i dont think trading him is the best idea. he is a good team player and he isnt old or have a really bad contract. i agree with trading jamison and trying to void arenas' contract, which should happen cause he shouldnt be playing with guns.. atleast hire bodyguards that can carry the guns instead..jeesh
trade him for a future
Why in the world would the Rockets try to trade to get Jamison? I'd rather have Landry. He's younger and his contract isn't crazy. In the process they would also be losing Hayes D. The trade goes against how the Rockets are built.
I hope it's not true, but if what Arenas did is proven to be true and the federal government files charges against him... I think the fallout will be tremendous (David Stern will then punish him severely) and the Wizards should void his contract.
