i know its a day late but i watched all of it yesterday and it was great to see a few NBA players in it...heres what i found
Scotty Hopson-very long and agile, not a great outside shooter but can get to the basket with ease...looked to be around 6'7'', and probably not much more than 200-205...he took it to the basket on numerous occasions and a few times his lack of strength prevented him from scoring...extremely good athlete, has the body of an NBA shooting guard, outside shooting needs work, could use 10 lbs. of muscle
Tyler Smith-wonderful play-maker, played very well distributing the ball, not as good of a scorer as i once thought, played point guard a little and his poise was great...he seems like he could be an andre igoudala in the NBA...maybe with a little less potential but his play-making abilities really impressed me...6'6'' 215 is what i think hes at
Wayne Chism-not the most intriguing prospect with his lack of potential and size but he could be a possible bottom of the roster type guy...looks to be around 6'8''...outside shooting was pretty decent, midrange game is his best bet, tough rebounder, definitely an NBA power forward if he plays at the next level, my guess is he will end up in europe, his lack of athleticism will hurt him..probably a very poor man's kenyon martin
Cameron Tatum-looked to be a prospect in the future with his absurd explosiveness but his arrest will hurt him.
Elliot Williams-very poised prospect, a combo guard at 6'3''-6'4'' but he looked fluid although he shot a lot of off-balanced and contested shots...maybe a poor mans delonte west, he couldnt shake cameron tatum's tough defense and ended up making 0 field goals although he was stellar from the free throw line...great composure and character, can probably fill it up against worse opponents but tennesee was playing incredible D all game...i can see him being a willie warren type next year
Will Coleman-the big man for memphis, very athletic and strong build, blocked quite a few shots, looked to be at least 6'9'' with a muscular frame, he played very poorly though, he has no ball handling ability, he lost his cool on numerous occasions, played average defense on Chism, his lack of composure REALLY bothered me, he got flustered a lot this game and he doesn't seem like an NBA prospect as of right now to me
I doubt Elliott Williams ends up being a poor mans Delonte West...I think he can be better.
ok ok i feel you, except delonte was a better college player than elliot and has gone on to having a significant NBA career
Is averaging 21, 4.5 and 4...Those are pretty good numbers. Delonte averaged more assist, but Elliot is a better scorer IMO. Plus, Delonte came out as a junior.
I think Elliot Williams is cut from the Dahntay Jones/Gerald Henderson mold...I think he'll be a defensive role player in the NBA. He has played well offensively though this season..
Weird how both those guys went to Duke...
I haven't seen a whole lot of Elliot Williams, but he is putting up big numbers and in the games i have seen, he looks like he's got solid handles and can get to the lane effectively. I also remember at Duke that he was a defensive specialist.
elliot is a confident scorer but his athleticism isn't extremely high...he isnt going to throw the ball down on you but he could be a real crafty scorer like delonte
he is pretty athletic check this out....
