A few minutes ago broke the backboard. Strength is not a concern if he makes it to the NBA, lol.
I think you meant WHEN he makes it to the NBA.
yeah WHEN, lol.
not only is he strong but he is really deceptively quick, he has nice perimeter skills just needs to get his attitude in check.
I compare him to Andray Blatche. He has a really polished perimeter game with nice inside/outside skills for someone so big. He should stay in school though and become the featured scorer on his team after WIllie Warren leaves. He should definately not be a one and done.
He has really slimmed down since his senior year in high school, and obviously retained his strength. He needs to gain some confidence and experience in my opinion. Derek Charachter kind of owned him when OU played UTEP. I think Gallon isn't a one and done, I think he needs another year, but could be a cross between Tractor Traylor ( because of his size/quickness ratio and ball handling skills for a big man) and Kevin Love.
Yea he reminds me of a poor man's Kevin Love, but he's got quicker feet and less passing skills (even though he's a skilled passer). He's a 2011 prospect though...
he barely toughed it! he could do that every time if he wanted to.
Andray Blatche comparisons is a little over the top, he doesn't have nearly the perimeter skills and ball handling Blatche displays for a big. I'd say a little bit shorter version of Eddy Curry. He has the nimble feet and solid post moves on the block. He just needs work and experience to round out his skills. He should be in the NBA at some point.
I don't like the Curry comparison either. Tiny Gallon is a better perimeter player and more perimeter-oriented than Curry, a better rebounder, while also being a much better passer than the notoriously poor passing Curry. Both are big-bodied, poor defenders, and have high skill levels and quick feet for their size, so I do see why you'd make that comparison though..
