Do you guys think he has what it takes to play at NBA level? He is having a very good season for Duke but he isn't even on the NBADraft.net mock draft.
I think he can be a good back-up PG who can shoot the 3 ball. He lacks the size and athleticism of other guards in college and the NBA. Though he is a team player who can have a big impact off the bench. I would trust him as my back-up PG if my starter got hurt as a GM and coach.
We've talked about this a few times on here the last couple of months.
I don't see him getting drafted. Of course it'll all depend on how well he does at the PIT, if he gets invited to Orlando and then how he does in workouts. I think he'll have an opportunity to play for somebody's summer league team and have a shot at landing on a roster for training camp. If he doesn't, then he'll have a great career overseas. He'd fit perfectly over there.
Never count out Illinois Hooperz!
Isn't Eddy Curry from Illinois lol?
Nothing wrong with going overseas. Plenty of guys who didn't cut it in the league are making a killing playing in Europe.
Is Scheyer better than Ridnour?
scheyer is very similar to ridnour, i don't see how he wouldn't be at least ok in the nba, he deals with pressure well and can shoot great.
Ridnour is a lot better than Scheyer in my opinion and I don't see very many similarities between the two.
Ridnour has more point guard ability... Much better ball handling and passing ability. He has more speed and quickness... Especially laterally, which allows him to compete defensively in the NBA. Ridnour is just better and his game translated pretty well from college to the pro's. I'm not so sure Scheyer's will. I think he's more of a college guy. He'll have a shot at the pro's, but I see him playing overseas.
