WILL THE LAKERS MAKE A DEAL

i forgot that farmar is in the last year of his contract as well as morrison. i do believe that the lakers could trade both for a pretty good point guard. possible mario chalmers because his game is perfect for the triangle. i was just reading how the they still like kirk and the bulls might be willing to trade him. some how we all know the lakers will get/steal someone and its only a matter of time.

Bill Simmons proposed those two same players on a fake trade

To the Raptors for Jose Calderon...

• Fake Trade 7a: Jose Calderon to the Lakers for Adam Morrison (EC), Jordan Farmar and $3 million. Time for Toronto to cut the cord with Calderon (owed $37.5 million through 2013), the league's No. 1 desperately-needs-a-change-of-scenery guy right now. He can't defend anyone, has lost his mojo and plays with zero confidence against the Nashes and Pauls. I don't know what happened to him. (And yes, I know his stats aren't much different than they were in 2007. I just know what I see.) But in L.A.? He could be rejuvenated as a Steve Kerr-type shooter in that system; he'd have shot-blockers to protect him defensively; he'd have Phil Jackson rebuilding his confidence and giving him Gabriel Garcia Marquez books; and he'd get reunited with Team Spain buddy Pau Gasol. Meanwhile, Toronto makes money this year, saves 2011-2012-2013 cash and doesn't lose much with Farmar and Jarrett Jack running the show. Win-win.

we will probably get him. or

we will probably get him. or someone...we will get someone..who wouldnt wanna take less money for a year and play for a title. doesnt even have to be a top notch pg just one who can shoot because the team defense helps out if they arent great defenders and the triangle means you dont have to be great or very good at setting up players

Calderson defense is lacking

Calderson defense is lacking so i dont like that move. They need a shooter and physical point guard.

like i said you dont have to

like i said you dont have to be a great defensive pg with the lakers because of team defense with the lakers. fisher is tough but he gets lit up by every point guard he plays against. same case last year and we still won the title. as long as he can hit that three its all good

Randy Foye

The lakers should go after randy foye. He's stinking it up with the wizards, and I think he could be a valuable piece in the triangle. We all know he can get 17 a night when given the right opportunity.
