Why Am I hearing The Knicks might deal Gallo?
very well put although my lake show will not add nate unless the knicks are willing to take farmar or morrison or sasha...and to be honest i think sasha and morrison wouldnt be that bad in dantonis system and it cant be anyworst then not playing nate
The knicks trading away Nate for Morrison or Sasha. I don't think the Knicks will trade away Nate unless they like what they are getting back because at the beginning of the season Larry Hughes was not playing and a buy-out in his contract was possible, now he is one of the first off the bench. Nate having not played a lot longer than Larry doesn't mean it's a lost cause though. If Nate starts to play the way D'antoni wants him too then he'll be back in that rotation.
i see what youre saying but the market for nate is slm to none. there was no market when he was a freeagent and no one really want him now. i mean he can play but he doesnt bring anything to a team that is gonna help them win. he can score but its more out of the offense then in it and since hes so short he has to play pg and most teams want there pg to set up other players and score and not just score. the knicks prb wont trade for those 2 because of sashas contract but i dont see morrison being that bad because he has a expiring contract and his game fits the coaches system. i remeber larry not playing much but i dont think he was in the dog house with the coach like nate is. and the knicks already wasnt in a rush to sign nate this past summer
was not in D'antoni's doghouse, but he knew from training camp that with drafting Douglas he was the odd man out of the rotation. Also, the knicks were not in a rush to sign anyone this summer they just were waiting to see who would try signing Lee or Nate. If Nate was signed they would've let him go, Lee I doubt it.
well i thought the knicks where stupid for taking him in the draft. i was wrong. know i think they are stupid if they trade him.
Trading gallinari would be a big mistake - hes not there yet but he has crazy potential that could really destroy the franchise if he ever reaches it elsewhere.
About Nate I would love to see them swing a trade with the Lakers for Jordan Farmar, I think that would be fair for both sides.
I can see why they would hear offers. Right now the Knicks big goal is to land lebron and possibly another allstar. Gallinari is a SF...If Lebron came Gallinari would be but in a Wally Szerbiak(sp?) roll...Lebron knows this and the Knicks know that he knows this. Right now they need a pg, a legit bigman, or a legit 2nd option who doesn't play the same position of the player(s) they want to sign. If they can land a legit young pg, or C for Gallinari, it's obviously the best move they can make if they are actually committed to signing lebron.
They could package Gallo or chandler with one of their bad contracts, or trade them for players they could use with lebron. Obviously they think they can pull it off since they blew up their team for this summer.

Now, I'm a Knicks fan but a realistic one. We had a excellent December, a 8th seed is in reach and the best part? Not alot of teams behind can really zoom up and take it IMO.
But why over the past 2 weeks, I'm hearing the Knicks might hear deals for Gallo?
I want a superstar as much as the next Knick fan but F That. Gallo is a untouchable to me. He made that good leap this season:
2008: 6ppg, 4 rpg
2009: 14 ppg, 4 rpg
And He reminds me of Pre- 2006 Dirk. He's attacking the basket, the jumper looks auto and he's actually rebounding well. Am I saying he's gonna take the next leap? I can only hope.
With Guys like Nate Robinson ( Who the Lakers should add, next post), Al Harrington, David Lee, Wilson Chandler and even Jared Jefferies who might be able to help us get a low 1st rounder from a playoff team who needs a defender in the long run ( I suggest Orlando) The Knicks need to keep Danilo Gallinari in the White/Orange and build with him as a potential #1 if LBJ is not coming in.
