DeMarcus Cousins again!
ok almost no one agreed with me that he is pretty dominant this year, everyone said how not ready and raw he is..and i DON'T UNDERSTAND why but no one had interest in his 15ppg9rpg2bpg freshmen year(with is pretty nice for player even playing 30 or more minutes) in less then 20mpg!
so how about now last three games he is avg twice less minutes than normal starting player with 14,13 and 19 min in those games and his stats is 17.3ppg11.7 and last game he had no fouls
he is clearly lottery and even more, yes he won't dominte in that way against bigger guys but however there is not so many 6'11" 260LBS 19yrs old kids..
so say he is overrated but if you guys so underrating him to be late 1rounder then i just hope he will stay in school and so how dominant he is there and will compete with freshman phenom Harrison Barnes for the top pick..
i know you don't like it and will give me tons of negatives but this is jus my personal opinion
Yes very impressive numbers, I think he's better than what he is projected to be and could be a steal in the draft if drafted late in the first round. Everyone knows he has some attitude issues but hopefully that comes with maturity since he's only 19. The last 3 games though they have not played any formidable team that actually have big men to handle cousins. Calipari probably knows that Cousins isn't really needed that much to win these games either and is saving him up for Conference play. Next game vrs Louisville should be more interesting.
Yes he is good but you have to be careful evaluating him. He's playing with the best point guard in America and the #1 draft pick on a team with 3 other draft picks besides him. I think he would be a great pick for a team with multiple picks drafting in the 20s. But it would be a mistake drafting him higher and expecting him to put up ROY numbers.
overrrated right now as far asbeing a pro player. when played against ranked/pro big men like i said before he averages 7pts and 7reb. his stats come from playing against cupcake big men. thats basically what you are ranking him on..cup cakes!!!!!! if thats the case you should make some other big man that puts up numbers against low major players then struggles against high major players as a lotto pick. it would be VERY BIG mstake if he came out. if you stuggle against d.thompson, zeller, ed davis, and the uconn front line what you think you are gonna do against a nba front line?
what has been the common theme with players from low major conference that play good against low major players? "lets see what he does when he plays against ranked, high major teams or against other good or pro players" we already have that answer with cousins
lets see where he gets his numbers from
miami of ohio
long beach state
ARE YOU SERIOUS!!!!!
if any other big man that didnt have a name coming from hs would have played well against those guys ya'll wouldnt give them the time of day. ya'll would have said "lets see what he does against uconn and unc because they have good big men and nba caliber guys
uconn-10pts 10reb foul trouble
unc-5pts 5reb foul trouble
people talk about bias does it get much more bias then ignoring what he did against good big men but looking just at what he did against guys who wont even be playing proball after college???
now if he stays another year i believe he can be a top 5 pick and he has the potential to be a very good pro. but lets not get carried away about how good he is right now
Artsiom Parakhouski- this guy leads college in rebounding. he may not have the potential of cousins but if we are going by this year this kid had 23 and 14 against duke
21 and 13 against kansas
and 14 and 8 against louiville
now thats some one who needs a post not overhyped cousins
so what if he is playing bad schools, he has been productive in few minutes of play and has shown good hands and a soft touch while playing good defence. what more do you want?
for him to show his talent against other big time talent... i am not a cousins fan at all but you cant deny the potential. I still believe its too early to tell with him. He will surely leave after this year if he has the opportunity.
exactly...what u mean so what?...so every mid major that puts up better numbers should be talked about more then him then?..there is a big difference between dominating cupcakes and doing well against actually good big men. does that really need to be explained?
