I am a fan of the blazers but I really feel like this guy is overrated and over paid. He gets paid and talked about like a superstar yet he plays extremely soft on both end of the court and isn't a true 2nd option. He only gives you 16 and 8 with no blocks that's not very good and every year we wait for him to break out. It's no reason why this guy isn't getting 20, 10, and 2 blocks. I would like to see him post up more and get to the line more often. After watch Roy and Bayless play together I could see them as great duo with aldridge as the 3rd option. Or they can trade him and get a young player that has more fire in him cuz he's a little too soft for his position. The guy just doesn't play that hungry to me
Man, this dude has so much potential and this year it seems like he's been struggling...He should be at least averaging 18 and 8. He has the potential to put up 22+ and 10+ with 2 Blocks easily! Great Length, good shooter, post up moves, but I don't know what is the problem. Do they not give him enough touches? He's ridiculously talented.
I think he just doesnt have it in him to be a 2nd option. I think thats why bayless is finishing games now to help take some pressure off of Roy cuz aldridge isn't doing it. for some reason he only wants to spot up
LaMarcus could be a top 10 or at worst 15 player in the NBA if he played tougher and tried harder. He's got some of the most talent and potential as you'll see, but he doesn't defend and he's a terrible rebounder relative to his physical tools. I thought he'd be an All-Star this year before the season, but he hasn't done anything different from last season, and may have even regressed slightly. I hate when guys that have talent don't take the next step do to what seems to be a lack of heart....It's hard for me to watch
You just wonder how somebody with so much talent isn't getting any better. I thought portland was making a mistake giving him that much money and they will regret it when its time to re-sign bayless, oden and their other young talent
Beanz...I am a Blazer fan and you are so wrong on this one. The reason LA doens't average 20 ppg is because THEY DON'T GIVE HIM THE BALL!!!! He will score 10 points in a row and the Blazers go away from him...He usually has one strong quarter and that's it. And LA plays good defense. He doesn't block a lot of shots though, but that's fine...Yeah, he's not a good rebounder, but he will be a 9-10 rpg guy this year because he's their center now lol.
He's not overpaid and he's not overrated. And why all the hate now? Blazers have been playing great and you don't think LA has contributed?
Nice to see another Blazer fan on here though...Trust me beanz, by the end of the season LA will be averaging close to 20 and 10.
I dont see that sorry to keep it real jawuan howard has been outplaying aldridge. They need to try to get gortat for somebody aldridge is too soft to be anybodys best bigman
He hasn't......You think Gortat is the answer? Stop it...Like I said, it's not LA's fault he doesn't get touches. Just watch the Philly game. He will start out hot and they will never go back to him...I don't understand.
gortats not the longterm answer but he can hold down the boards and blocks this year and get good mins behind oden next year. They need a tough bigman the lost the only 2 they had and prysbilla is a free agent so give away outlaw and somebody else for gortat
Is worth more than Gortat...Besides, like I said...The Blazers are winning. Don't mess it up by bringing in Gortat. If things go wrong...Than maybe.
The Blazers are one of the worst fastbreak teams in the league. LA sprints the court all the time and no one (besides Miller) will look for him. I can only think of 2 or 3 true 4's who can keep up with him when he sprints the court.
I hate it when people question his heart...He works very hard in the off season and is one of the best conditioned players in the league...He gets that from hard work and dedication. Question his toughness, but not his heart. Just because he isn't loud doesn't mean he has no heart.
portland is winning because they have an outstanding coach (nate mcmillan) and a leader (roy) paired with some strong and tough veterans (miller, blake, and howard)...aldridge is just another option but his production is relative to david west...brandon roy and chris paul are both surrounded by very little talent and it saddens me
