which team this year has the worst looking team in the future?
I would say it would be the timberwolves because they really only have to positions filled on their team. That would be the pg spot with flynn, sessions, and rubio who may or may not come and the power forward position with big al and kevin love. they have no wing players that would start on any other team and no true good center. the log jam at pg can workout because they probably could sometimes play two pgs at once with flynn at the 2. But with love and jefferson being their best two big men, they dont have much quickness or athleticism between the two of them.. Minnesotta has many draft picks in 2010, but these picks may take time to fulfill their potential, and i dont think al will last that long, or even be there when it happens(plus he is injured a lot).. Another problem is that not many free agents choose to sign with minny, theres talk about gay which would really help, but other than that there is no hope. Thats why i think minnesotta has the worst future right now.
Raptors, T'Wolves, or Detroit. (Even though im from there, i must say, there not the same as they used to be when they were a championship caliber team.)
I actually think the T'Wolves have a bright looking future...
Solid at the PG position
Solid at the PF position
and have 4-5 picks in the upcoming draft....
I think Detroit is on its way down, spent big money on mediocre FAs in Villanueva and Gordan
Dont really have any great young developing players
wolves look promising. Love and jefferson are getting better and they should address the wing in the draft this year. As for the future, I would say Charlotte looks in a bad spot. Augustin does not look like a starting pg and felton can leave after this season. Jackson, wallace, chandler and Diaw are all solid but they are not getting any younger or better.
Good chance that they lose Wade and although they have Beasley and a few young players like Chalmers and Cook they have very few good pieces to deal with or build around. Beasley looks like he has the makings of a headcase. Haslem is ok but nothing special. O'Neal is over the hill and an upcoming F/A. Their only saving grace is cap space this year.
Honorable mention to the Warriors because G.S. looks like a train wreck waiting to happen. They have alot of young talent butNellie is no longer the right man for the job. If they are shopping their bright young stars like Randolph, that could spell trouble for not getting equal value in return. Stephen jackson had problems but he was the heart and soul of that team.
Wolves will be alright, they are getting some depth and are the type of team that could benefit from trading one of they're younger players like Jefferson or Love and package that player with maybe trading the rights to Rubio they might make a splash. They have tradable pieces and plenty of draft picks they're GM has done a decent job of making his roster better than it was before. They were'nt winning games with Foye and Miller so he rolled the dice and sometimes thats what you have to do.If Nellie isn't shipped to the retirement home soon he will destroy G.S. beyond recognition his old school ways of not bringing along rookies and younger players is too outdated.Young guys are the cheap talent that you can mold into winners if you know how to coach they have had some decent draft pick ups that he has refused to cultivate.Randolph should be much further along, when you're that bad what is the use of letting your future sit on the bench, they can't learn anything from watching losing basketball.Sorry Nellie gets under my skin he and Al Davis must be best friends.
