Top 6 Disappointments of the Year

In no order:

Wizards - They were supposed to be a top 4 team in the East. Arenas was supposed to push them back to the elite teams. The trade for Foye and Miller was supposed to sure up their backcourt.

Youth Injuries - Greg Oden, Blake Griffin, Joe Alexander, Rudy Fernandez, Tyrus Thomas, YI Jianlian, Devin Harris, ect, ect. There have been so many young players hurt this year that its unreal.

Allen Iverson - Said he was going to be a good role model, accept a bench role, play like he knows he can. Thus far, he has quit on a team, had average games, now gotten hurt. I think he can do it but so far he has disappointed me.

Transactions - So far, i havent seen a move that has really excited me. Stephen Jackson for Rodmonavic - Boring... Eric Maynor for nothing - Has potential... Come on someone, pull the trigger.

Top Tier Teams - These teams that are supposed to rein supreme, ala Cavs, Celtic, Lakers, Nuggets, Magic, Mavs, were supposed to challenge for 65+ wins and now I dont know if anyone of them can get there. They have all lost games that they werent supposed to because of stupid mistakes.

Mike D'Antoni - He needs to see that DLee can be part of the future of this team. He needs to concentrate on the now because every elite player knows that his system will never produce a championship. He needs to refine his approach.

SORTA, BUT THE REGULAR SEASON DOESN'T REALLY MATTER IN A SENSE FOR THESE TEAMS, THE LAKERS AND CAVS ARE THE BIGGEST THREATS..

Mike D'Antoni - He needs to see that DLee can bee the future of this team. He needs to concentrate on the now because every elite player knows that his system will never produce a championship. He needs to refine his approach.NAHHH, LEE CAN NOT BE THE FUTURE OF ANY TEAM.

as a portland fan i gotta

as a portland fan i gotta agree that injurys have killed this year. all summer it was talk about whether or not the blazers were ready to challenge la san antonio and denver but after loosing half our team we are just tryin to find reasons to stay optimistic. the worst part is now we know we cant build our team around oden. if hes healthy, great, but so far its lookin like he wont be able to stay on the court. the only good things about the injurys in portland is that finally bayless is getting some minutes and showing what hes able to do. future backcourt bayless and roy with fernandez as our 6th man

Agree about the Wizards,

Agree about the Wizards, they seriously need to dismantle that team, and trad aay the veterans while they have any value

Youth Injuries, Yepp, kinda sad....injuries happen all the time, but when it happens to the NBAs young, developing talent....it can hinder the rest of there career

Allen Iverson, has he ever said he was willing to take a backseat role? I thought his thing the whole time was that he pretty much demanded to start and wanted atlast 30mpg

Transactions - HELL YEAH! Im dying for some movement in the NBA....

To Tier Teams, i guess....but they all seem to be doing fine, the seasons still young

Mike D'Antoni - David Lee isnt the future of anything...nor should he be, hes a nice peice, but you dont look at a guy like Lee and call him the future of your team

About the David Lee thing: I

About the David Lee thing:

I think that he can be PART of their future. He is a great pick and roll guy and could be great at the PF position and an excellent 2nd or 3rd option. There arent many people in the league that are better in a pick and roll offense than Lee.

first

The Wizards need to use Nick Young, I saw him play once live and he dropped like 32 points could just shoot from any where and score. The Wizards should trade away Gilbert, and get a PG and have Nick Young as the shooting guard. Allow JeVale McGee to develop and use Jamison and Butler as the leaders of the team. Gilbert Arenas is not what he used to be and he's not what wins a team championships. Also, with what they get for Arenas (picks, young talent) will have the Wizards closer to any chance at building a consistent winner than they do now.
