Give Jeremy Hazell some love
Why isn't Jr Guard Jeremy Hazell from Seton Hall on the positional rankings. This kid is a 6'6 flat out scorer. He reminds of CDR....With Seton Hall playing much better he should be shooting up draft boards as a prospect. Thoughts?
I was just about to make a topic about him.
Guys a scorer, im watching the game right now and he can really score, hes an NBA prospect in my mind.
just hit 2 threes to put it into OT, guy is a scorer and has MAD range on his jumper.
He has to be an NBA prospect.. like cmon scouts.
To go into OT was amazing.
The thing is that he is 23 and about to turn 24 next March. Plus hes only a junior and if he did descide to go into the NBA it probably wouldnt be until his senior season when he would be 25.
He played an INCREDIBLE game. He hit big shot after big shot, and played decent defense as well. You think he played well today, you should have seen some of his performances last year. If only Herb Pope could make a damn free throw. He's limited as an NBA prospect, however. As noted above, he'll turn 24 in March, and his lack of weight at that age shows concern for how much weight he can actually add. He's also just an average athlete at the NBA level. He could be an Anthony Morrow at best.
I saw the whole game Hall vs Nova. the game went into OT. and he had i think like 35 points and he does it all
-also great size + athletisiem
sure the kid had 41 pts tonight.
On 33 shots!!!!! 4-19 from 3 pt land, with 0 assists.
I dunno what to make of that performance.
I've been talking about Hazell and this Seton Hall team since this summer as a team that will sneak into the tourny...And to hotshotschamp, he'll prove to be more efficient when he plays with better players. The reason he shoots so many shots, good and bad, is because they don't have alot of true perimeter scoreing threats.
You could say CDR with range on his jump shot. But he wasn't as efficient a scorer as CDR. But yeah, there's no reason he shouldn't at least the 2011 mock's 2nd round. A guy with his scoring instincts and ability to take n make big shots cannot be overlooked in terms of just getting a look from NBA personnel despite his age etc. Definitely one of the more exciting players to watch in the Big East since really he was a Freshman. I say a little taller Jodie Meeks wouldn't be a bad comparison.
If im looking for instant offense off the bench in the late 1st or 2nd round i take hazell.
if he doesn't leave this year, he's going to be 25 during the draft...no shot at the first round...
