The new Brandon Roy

I think a new Brandon Roy will make his way into the league soon. His name: Austin Rivers. He's the son of Celtics coach Doc Rivers and he's ranked second in the 2011 class. He will take his game to Florida. Do you think he has the chance of being as good as Mr.Roy.

Some highlights:

I like him alot, him and

I like him alot, him and Marquis Teague are 2 of my favorite prospects for 2011, but 2011 is still so far away....i dont like making comparisons for 16 year olds,i mean even Royal Ivey looked like Brandon Roy in High School too

But regardless of that, I really do like him, and i think he'll do great

If we are talking high

If we are talking high school prospects for 2011, watch out for Gary Bell. He scored 55 the other day against Auburn Riverside and is bound to be one of the best scorers in the Nation this year imo. Also there is Tony Wroten, but he is injured for the whole season.

Eddy Curry

I remember the year Eddy Curry was drafted they were showing highlight film of him. In it he was getting doubled by guys that were like 5'10" and weighed 150. It was hilarious and I kept thinking he was going to get a high pick based on that. I think it's hard to evaluate guys this early, but I think it is much easier to evaluate guys that are already guards. One reason is because they are playing with guys that are usually their size unless you are a guy the size of Deron Williams or Derrick Rose. From the clips he looks like he could be a really nice player. Seems like he has a nice shooting touch, some good handles and nice athleticism. Florida used to do an amazing job with their recruits but that seem like it really fell off after Donovan thought about going to coach in the NBA and started to leave for Orlando. He obviously has room to get bigger and stronger though. Anyone know how tall he is?

6,2-6,3

About 6,2...maybe 6,3. He has time to grow.

Probably not

I like Austin Rivers, but I doubt he'll ever be like B-Roy. B-Roy is a top-10 player in the league...Not saying that Austin can't be a great player. Austin doesn't play like Roy anyways...Roy is a legit 6,6 220 and is one of the stronger guards in the league. Rivers is a combo guard who has great speed and can shoot it very well...

Maurice Harkless

He's a 6-7 210 junior from Forest Hills, NY he has already made a verbal to UConn. He looks pretty good.

Evan Turner

Is similar to B-Roy, but I doubt he will be the scorer that Roy is.

yeah roy and austins game

yeah roy and austins game arent alike. but austin is very very good. he seems to be able to get off his shoot against any defense and i notice if you get up on him he either goes by you with very very nice handles and a assortment of fakes and hesitation dribbles or he steps back even further and shoots the three. he actually reminds me a lot of stephen curry to be honest. except hes only a jr. and he was scoring like this as a soph also
