Realistic Look at Minnesota Timberwolves Roster Next Season

PG: Jonny Flynn/Ramon Sessions
SG: Corey Brewer/Anthony Morrow/Elliot Williams/Wayne Ellington
SF: Travis Outlaw/Ryan Gomes/Stanley Robinson
PF: Kevin Love/Ryan Hollins
C: Al Jefferson/Cole Aldrich

Select Aldrich with team's own pick
Select Robinson with Charlotte's pick
Select Williams with Jazz pick

Sign Outlaw to 3 year / $15M
Sign Morrow to 3 year / $12M

They sign two good shooters in Outlaw (was shooting almost 40% from beyond 3 before getting hurt) and Morrow and select two highly athletic defensive players in Robinson and Williams. Adding a player like Aldrich is a must in the West, they just can't get it done defensively in the post with Love and Jefferson, Seven Footers kill this team.

Rudy Gay

Did you hear that they have their eyes set on Rudy Gay?

Yeah, but does Rudy have

Yeah, but does Rudy have his eyes set on them? Just about every star that Minnesota has had over the past 15 years has been through the draft or by trade.

I live in MN, Jefferson is going nowhere unless the Wolves get a team's "farm" for him, he's only 24 and has the best low post moves outside of anybody not named Duncan. As for Sessions, Kahn would want at least a projected 10-15 pick for him, would any team do that? Gomes can also be released at the end of the season so they wouldn't owe him $5M next year, but they need all the 3 point shooters they can get, and if Kahn can't get a young SG or SF with potential or a 1st round pick for him he won't give him up, he won't make any moves without getting a lot of value back, yeah Rubio isn't coming over this year, but look what Kahn had to give up for him, Foye who up until a game or two ago was the last guy coming off the bench for the Wiz and Mike Miller has been injured most of the year, seems like a pretty shrewd trade to me even if Rubio won't come over until 2011, the Wolves wouldn't have resigned either of them after this season, so any value they could've gotten for them was a plus. Plus when Kahn traded Miller, he only had like a day or two before he couldn't trade him because his contract was expiring after this season, good thinking, that dude's career has regressed so much.

As for Rudy Gay, I don't see him coming to the Wolves, they're still at least two years away from being anything, I don't see him wanting to go into another situation like that. He probably would give it a serious thought about it though if the Wolves were to offer him a Max Contract, but I don't see Kahn doing that, Gay is not a number one option and Kahn knows that. If he were willing to take a 5 year/$55 million deal the Wolves would definitely swoop on him, but I think the Grizz would match it.

If the Kings would give up

If the Kings would give up Thompson, Casspi, and their 1st rounder this year (unprotected) I could see the Wolves trading Jefferson. Those are the kind of deals Kahn would be willing to do, Jefferson is going nowhere.

morrow is going to be

morrow is going to be heavily pursued this offseason. next to wade or lebron or kobe or some superstar he coud easily average 20 ppg because he would be so open.

Realistic? lol They don't

Realistic? lol

They don't get Charlotte's pick if they are in the lottery, which I would say is probably going to happen, so I can assume there goes your Williams(?) pick...pretty sure he's not declaring anyway...Theres also no guarantee that they get Utah's pick, as it's top 17 protected.

They have huge holes at the 2 and 3...I can't imagine they draft Aldrich...signing both Morrow and Outlaw for cheap short term deals is not realistic...NY or NJ will probably panic when they don't sign lebron and offer guys like that stupid deals...plus the fact that Minny is a losing team in a not so ideal city...

If that's the Wolves line up for next year...

If that's the Wolves lineup for next year...the team is going to be horrible again.

If Travis Outlaw is the biggest pick up..that would be horrible. Outlaw cannot create.

If they draft Aldrich, that would mean that they did not win the lottery and would not even be in the top 5. That would suck.

and who the hell is Morrow???

Just saying your line up projection is horrible and I'm a huge Wolves fan and I hope that is not our line up for next year.

10-15 pick for Sessions

10-15 pick for Sessions thats a joke he's not worth that.
Anthony Morrow would be a big help definately.
Kahn needs more chips trade Rubio since they already have 2 point guards, maybe get a 1st rounder or young prospect for him.
