LeBron needs whom or what?
one they need to get a younger low post scoring center that can run the floor and not die in the middle of the first quarter lol.
two they need some who can shoot lights out off the bench like a eddie house or someone like that.
three they need someone that can show up every nite like LBJ cause sometimes its Mo, or West they dont show up every nite.
and last would have to be a all star 2nd option to LBJ and Mo doesnt count cause he got there becuase of LBJ im talkin about someone who can make the all star game by his self
then LBJ will win a ring
in order to win a title he does need more help..z is alright and if he was younger could be a player that can help. shaq isnt the shaq he used to be. he can play the pick and roll and that hurts big time.. he never could before but he was so dominate then that it didnt matter. mo is good so hes a good third option.. then need a second option a second star that can space the floor with shooting. they dont have that yet but i think they will probably get this this summer. just like kobe needed better players and didnt win untill he got them like gasol whos a second team all nba guy. no one ont he cavs team is even close to that.
I have been saying it for years. Lebron needs a PF that can stay out of the lane and be a threat at the 3 point line. A guy that is comparable to Dirk would be nice. Since that will never happen, maybe a guy like Steve Novak, Rashard Lewis, Galanari, ect. He is set everywhere else. I think that Shaq gets in the way too much and BigZ is the better fit at C for them.
Lebron needs a 2 guard who can spot up and a 4 man who can play pick and roll. Lebron isn't effective if the ball isn't in his hands, so a guy like D-Wade isn't the answer. Shaq is an overrated addition to them because he needs the ball too...when he gets the ball, Lebron doesn't know what to do, he just stands around like everyone else.
If I'm Danny Ferry I'm looking at shooting guards and power forwards.
My 2 guards would be guys like: Michael Redd, Mike Miller, Kevin Martin, or Kyle Korver. Those are just a few names of guys who would fit perfectly in Cleveland, they don't need the ball to be effective, just spot up and wait for a pass.
Some 4 men that would fit are: David West, Amare Stoudemire, Troy Murphy, Carlos Boozer, or Andrew Bogut (who is a Center actually but is a finesse one who plays alot of Pick and roll or pick and pop). Those big men are guys who excell in pick and roll situations, can knock down jump shots and are athletic enough to move on the perimeter with the likes of Josh Smith and Rashard Lewis.
well for low post shaq and Z combine for less than 20 and for a penetrator you said mo williams which shows your ignorance because if you actually watched the cavs more than once you would see that mo is just a glorified spot up shooter, honestly daniel gibson has been much better than mo this year and he is just a spot up shooter.
The cavs need a perimeter threat outside of lebron that can shoot but is also a slasher, also a big man that is above average on defence and can give about 18 ppg and rebound at a decent clip.
So let me ask, what does kobe need to win a championship. Before the Pau trade and Bynums development what was kobe doing? he was getting knocked out of the playoffs in the first round by the amare-less suns. however, during that pathetic waste of 5 years the lakers did manage to develope sasha vujacic (sp) and jordan farmar while retaining lamar odom which has led them to their current success. How far has Kobe gotten in the playoffs without shaq or pau? 2nd round mabye? Lebron got to the finals and you can say "the east is so weak" the pistons that year had the second best record in the nba which didn't stop lebron from single handedly beating them. So lebron can get to the finals without a team, Kobe can't get past the second round by himself.
So i understand you don't want to look at the numbers to say who is better, i get that i really do. but what do you want to look at? Team success when they had bad teams or compare lebron's bad teams to kobe's great teams? if you want to compare bad team to bad team, lebron wins. if not then shaq wins, not kobe, who got the final's mvp's in all three championships, kobe or shaq?
im sorry 8th deadly sin but steve novak isnt going to help lebron win a ring...
looking at their roster, they have 2 legitimate scorers in LBJ and Mo Williams, the rest are complimentary players that are limited skill-wise but are decent supporters of LeBron...he needs a proven PF that can score from the outside and a YOUNG center who is in good condition and can play solid D
a guy like josh howard to dirk or pau to kobe..lebron needs a running mate...paul pierce got a few running mates haha
I think Antawn Jamison can be an excellent compliment to Lebron. I definately think they need a finesse big man that is a solid rebounder. Apparently Ferry is incredibly interested in Jamison and has been for quite some time. The Wizards don't want to trade him though( but likely have not gotten a solid offer anyways) If I was the Wizards gm, Ernie Grunfeld, i would be interested in Illgauskas as an expiring contract (11 million) JJ Hickson as young talent and possibly some draft picks. It is time for Blatche to start for the Wizards. Jamsion leaving, along with the expiring contracts of Illgauskas, Mike Miller, Mike James, Randy Foye, Brendan Haywood, Fabricio Oberto, Javaris Crittenton, Earl Boykins, and Dominic Mcguire would give the Wizards some serious salary cap space to make a run at a prized free agent(Nowitzki or Bosh). The Wizards should only resign Crittenton, Boykins and Mcguire, which would cost less than 10 mil per year. The Cavs would have a solid scoring big and could make a deep run in the playoffs.
lol...yeah the knicks do need lebron but he doesnt need them. there has never been a superstar that wins it all with out help or a very very good team so you cant blame lebron. kobe couldnt do it jordan couldnt do it magic couldnt do it. now one can do it
I didn't mention Kobe once... In THIS topic... But since you said it... What has LeBron won? What does he got that Kobe doesn't? Name something? Name one MFing thing!!!
Kobe is the reason bum a$$ players are looked at as assets... Kobe is the reason Bynum's development has tooked off... During the beginning of that 07 season Bynum was just scoring off alley-oops from Kobe... Pau Gasol only played 27 games with the Lakers that season and Bynum started 25 of them... People forgot about Trevor Ariza's development... And Kobe STILL took that team to the best record in the West... Easily the best conference from top to bottom... Don't give me he had help ish... He had help in the right spots that got him where he needed to go... Period!!! You could have put Zach Randolph in that spot and the Lakers still would have won...
Mo Williams is a slashing PG with the ability to shoot the 3... Unless you have watched him for the past 5 years, you wouldn't know that... MY damn point to this was to enlighten me on to what LeBron needs... Because I feel like he has everything he needs... These players are playing this way and averaging these stats on HIS TEAM... Before going there they were already established and good players or specialist... So my point was to see exactly who is LeBron missing to win a ring? And who would you get rid of to get inorder for the Greatest player in the world to win!!!
What has not been mentioned is the failure of the Cavaliers management when it comes to drafting young talent. The Cavs have either drafted busts (Luke Jackson) or guys we may not see develop for another couple years (Hickson, Eyenga). My point is that the Cavs have never been able to draft that player to compliment Lebron for a cheap salary. The Knicks (where I hope he goes of course) have. Gallo-Chandler-Lee, though Chandler would probably be traded if the Knicks pulled off acquiring the King. What I am saying is in order to build around a franchise you need to draft around the franchise player, and the Cavs have never done that.
LeBron needs another scorer but one that is unselfish and more efficient then Mo, and more fresh young legs to run with him. The guy who said the Cavs suck at drafting talent was right on the money. They draft crap every single year, except for Hickson, who doesn't get that much PT anyway.
Since EVERYONE feels LeBron is short handed as far as talent on his team, can someone tell me whom or what is missing from the Cav's so LeBron can get a ring...
Is it a big man that can score in the low post? Shaq and Z can't do that huh? Another penetrator? Mo Williams isn't enough?
Is it a particular player? How about y'all play Danny Ferry and you can have ANY player that hits free agency next year WHO will make the damn Cav's that much better than what they already are? D-Wade? LOL... I will give yall that one...
