Whatever happened to this sharpshooting wildcat? He was doing a solid job off the bench at Atlanta but he never really gained much throughout his NBA Career... I thought he could be doing what Eddie House is doing now... I think he's still capable of shooting it from afar... If there is a team that needs a shooter, Salim Stoudmaire should be into consideration... I really thought he could last long with Atlanta but sad to say, I was wrong... But we can never tell, right? Oh yeah, as far as I recall he did drop 39 in the Summer League in his rookie year right? I think he deserves a roster spot on an NBA team...
I loved him at arizona.. i thought he had serious range from deep and could find a spot in the League.. but i think he had a problem with staying in shape and conditioning
He had a TERRIBLE attitude...I used to go to Hawks games and he could never get along with Coach Woodson. I remember during warm-ups he would literally never miss his jumpers...It was amazing. He could change his shooting form and still knock down deep shots effortlessly. But he was too moody (he seemed like a loner who didn't get along with anyone) to play, plus he was a defensive liability and he didn't have any PG skills. I used to love this guy, but it's not hard to see why he didn't last in the NBA. No one wants to put up with a distraction if he's not a superstar (ask Rashad McCants).
Yeah, he made an impact as a 2nd rounder with something like 9ppg right away, and then vanished. The attitude thing makes sense though as to why a quick offensive guy who could help a team isn't with anyone.
I think a champiosnhip caliber team can use his shooting skills... He can be that Steve Kerr/Eddie House for the Lakers, Suns, Spurs...Watcha think?
He's very comparable to House, but he'll have to try harder on D even though he's not quite the athlete to be a true factor (similar to what House has done). He also needs to show that he can be less of an attitude problem...
