1/3 of the Season Awards

So with a third of the season through...Who do you give the Awards out too?
I've been seeing alot of articles recently about the Awards so I decided to create a Topic about it.
Sorry if someone has already done this or if it's annoying.

My Picks

MVP - Kobe, as much as it pains to say...but with Gasol missing a big chunk, playing with a broken finger, Lamar's inconsistency as well as Fishers, & Artest...is doing okay...I think he deserves it. Dirk is making a strong case though.

ROY - Brandon Jennings/Tyreke Evans. It's too tough, first co-ROY since Francis & Brand I think?

DPOY - Gerald Wallace, dude has been rebounding at a high rate for his position & blocking shots.

Most Improved - Carl Landry. Not biased, but dude has been nothing short of amazing. He finishes strong, lots of And 1's, knocks down Jumpers, Rebounds, block shots, & shoot at the line a pretty good percentage. Not sure if he's still Top 10 in NBA though

C.O.Y - Aldeman, You can't say you had Rockets being 17-11 at this point without Yao or McGrady. Losing Artest and Wafer. Drafting a Couple of 2nd Rounders, starting a 6'6 Center and signing an Unproven Ariza. We've beaten some pretty good Teams too.

6th Man - Jamal Crawford. He's really helped pushed them to the Next Level especially with Mike Bibby playing at a lower level. Could've had a few others here such as Landry again...

Executive/GM - I'm tempted to say Daryll Morey, but that may make me seem too biased
(I think those are two seperate, don't really pay attention to that award)

That's all I'll do, the others are too tough for me :) haha & I got to go eat. :P

MVP - Kobe- agree

ROY - Brandon Jennings/Tyreke Evans. I agree completely, too tough to choose this early. Both are playing very well.

DPOY - Gerald Wallace- agree .

Most Improved - Carl Landry- hes up there, but i like Redick or CDR for this award.

C.O.Y - Aldeman- Disagree, Woodson has done great things for hte hawks.

6th Man - Jamal Crawford- agree, hes the front runner for sure.

accolades

MVP - Kobe bryant, what can I say?

ROY - Tyreke Evans, will emerge after Christmas as a better player than Jennings....

DPOY - I gotta go with Gerald Wallace here, too. He has been nothing short of impressive and really deserves an all-star berth. He is in contention to be the first small forward to ever lead the NBA in rebounding!

Comeback/Most Improved - I might get some crap for this, but I think Thaddeus Young deserves this award even though the Sixers stink. He has enormous potential and it is beggining to show as he is averaging 15.6 ppg, 5.4 rpg and 1.8 apg while shooting 37% from behind the arc.

C.O.Y - Mike Woodson- In my opinion, it is more impressive to make a good team into an elite team instead of having a poor team overachieve(Rockets,Kings) He is one of the least recognizable coaches in the NBA and is about to get some by showing this year that the Hawks are for real

6th Man - Jamal Crawford- has really helped mold the Hawks into contenders. I think he has the best handles in the league.

Executive/GM - Sam Presti- Has put together a very impressive team in OKC and looks like he will be a mainstay in the league as a GM forever.

da1pot was the t.young most

da1pot was the t.young most improved a joke?..it has to be because hes not playing much different then last year..he averaged 15.3 last year and shot 34 percent about the same reb ast blks and a lil more turnovers...how can you justify giving him most improved?

quincey

as a Sixers fan I agree. I expected a lot more out of him this year. He just doesn't seem to be playing up to his potential.

MVP - LeBron James - He is simply leading a team filled with old and mediocre talent to a whole new level... He'll definitely be in considerations for the rest of his career...

ROY - Tyreke Evans - Just because Jennings put up 55 in a game doesn't mean he's a lock... Tyreke Evans has helped the Kings get back to winning with his amazing 20, 5 and 5 stats...

DPOY - Josh Smith - J-Smoove deserves one... He truely does and he has improved his defense by a mile this season and it's not just about blocking those crazy shots...

Comeback/Most Improved - Chris Kaman - Chris Kaman is one of the few brightspots the Clippers has on... Still, too early to tell but he's been a double-double guy for a team who's earning quite a few respect in the League...

C.O.Y - Rick Adelman - I never thought the Rockets would be winning without T-Mac and Yao out but as a fan, I underestimated them too much that I forgot how excellent Adelman is as a coach... He should never ever be underestimated...

6th Man - Jamal Crawford - To be able to score 20 on some nights off the bench and lead the team in winning, Crawford has to be the runaway winner... He has been a fantastic player coming off the bench... No complaints... He just wants to get a feel for a playoff atmosphere something that eluded him for the rest of his career.

Executive/GM - Sam Presti - Excellent job in building OKC into a team filled with incredible talent... Durant, Westbrook, Green, Harden? That's a playoff team in the future...

All-Star Festivities:

3-Point Shootout:
Danilo Gallinari

Ryan Anderson
Stephen Curry
Mo Williams
Daequan Cook

Skills Challenge:
Brandon Jennings
Tony Parker
Rajon Rondo
Derrick Rose*
