Lenny Cookie and Joe Forte are two players that really wanted to see make it in the league. Lenny didn't get drafted and Joe didn't really get a chance in Boston. What are some player's that you followed or kept tabs on that didn't make?
Jay Williams Drafted by Chicago.....Horrific motorCycle Accident, And Dejuan wagner could have been something else himself
Well i did like Gerald Green i dont know whats wrong with him he has all the tools to great but he dont have the heart and desire to be great he has the pretty jumpshot the handles we all know he can dunk and he has a 48 inch vert. I also liked darius washington jr he did play at memphis left early i dont know why he was a tough guard who could drive and shoot he play for Galatasaray Café Crown is one of the best basketball clubs in turkey. I like sebastian telfiar i though he was going to domiante dont know what happen i think he was to little. I know if gerald green had reach his potential he could be averaging at least 23.5ppg now.
I remember when he commited to the ville, i was excited. Then when he declared for the draft i really started following him. But im kinda disappointed
Julius Hodge....I was convinced he could do everything Jamal Crawford does right now...WRONG
I was always excited when his college games were on tv. unfortunatly his the nba game was not for him.
As a Clippers fan he was supposed to be our future star PG. One horrific injury later and he is riding the Thunder's bench.
jamont gordon. He played point at oak hill academy then went to MSU. Was projected to go mid 2nd round 2 years ago but never got drafted, currently somewhere in europe.
also i liked curtis jerrels out of baylor, he just go player of the week in the Dleague
Also i agree with BasketballGuru24, dejuan wagner had a ok rookie year averaging around 13 ppg but around 35% shooting, however he showed he wasn't afraid to play and probably would have develped into a good role player beside lebron
what happened to stevie franchise? that was my favorite pg to watch in the league...is he still in the league? And i just wish James White could stay in the league long enough to compete in the dunk contest...i honestly believe he would give vince a run for his money as the greatest dunk contest performer of the new millenium
Eddy Curry I thought he would be a consistent 20 ppg scorer I know he doesnt play defense or rebound well but he had a good post game and he was pretty solid for a couple years when he was in chicago now he is injury prone and he gets no PT in NYC.
neither players were good enough to be in the nba(cooke or forte) then you add forte's attitude and everyone saying he was a bad teammate had to hurt( hate to say it to a fellow dematha high player)
I agree about Jamont Gordon...He doesn't have very many weaknesses as a player, and he has good physical tools as a PG. I have no clue why he isn't on someone's roster. I think he has to do with him not being a "natural" PG...he's an NBA player to me though. He could be a Rodney Stuckey or Chauncey Billups type..
