Willie Warren

Can someone help me with what is going on with this guy? 24% from 3 is terrible for him. I would like him on the grizzlies but he needs to shoot better.

He's having a shooting slump

He's having a shooting slump this season...I think he'll be a good scorer in the NBA though. Everyone should know he's a good shooter, since he shot well last year and it was always a strength of his before he was a college player. Oklahoma as a whole has been a disappointment this season, but I think they'll be a great team next season.

His stock should be
His stock should be dropping.  I just don't see many teams wanting to draft a scoring combo guard in the lottery.  He hasn't impressed me much at all when I've watched him play lately. He didn't impress last season either. I never understood why he has been so high in all the mock drafts.  Yeah looking at the box score he had a terrible game today.  If he ends up being a lottery pick I will be surprised.

He's got the potential to be

He's got the potential to be a big-time scorer..I think that it is a risk involved when drafting a combo guard in the lotto though. You might get an OJ Mayo, D Wade type or you might get a Rashad McCants, Jerryd Bayless type who would be better served as a mid/late 1st round pick.

I definitely don't see him
I definitely don't see him being like Mayo or Wade.  I could be wrong though of course.

I don't either, I'm just

I don't either, I'm just stating the risk of drafting a combo guard.....I think he's along the lines of a Eric Gordon or Mitch Richmond

If I was a GM I would rather
If I was a GM I would rather draft a legit sized SG with upside like Terrico White, Hopson, Evan Turner, etc... I would rather draft a player like that than take a chance on a scoring combo guard like Warren.  That is why I just don't see him drafted so high.

I would too, Warren would

I would too, Warren would probably be better suited as an instant offense type anyway...

What do yall think about the

What do yall think about the Grizzlies drafting him 12-16 for him to be instant offense off the bench? We need a scoring combo guard. This is to say Turner, Henry, Johnson, and etc. are gone.

if Warren stays another year

if Warren stays another year and work on his point guard skills i think he can improve his stock a lot but you are right combo guards are not the hottest NBA trend right not but short power forwards are in though.

I dont think he would fit

I dont think he would fit well with the grizz They already have solid scores off the bench. Plus you have OJ Mayo and rudy with and emerging sam young there wouldnt be many mintues there. I wouldnt waste a 12-16 pick on a scorer of the bench ..I think he would be a perfect fit with the sixers.

Are you kidding? We have one

Are you kidding? We have one of the worst benches in the league. They scored 7 points against the Pacers. Unless we get Wall there is not any player in the draft who would start for us.

i dont really think it makes

i dont really think it makes much sense for him to stay and try to work on pg skills because hes such a scorer then he's still gonnaa play mostly shooting guard. he will just have to learn the pg position more when he gets to the nba just like westbrook did. i think he has the ability to be a pg but you wont see it much for this team
