Warriors are trying to trade Maggette to Dallas for Josh Howard
A San Francisco radio station reported on wednesday that the Warriors are trying to trade Maggette..1 of the players the Warriors are interested in is the Mavericks Josh Howard...Howard was of my favorites players a few seasons ago..he did things that doesnt show up in the boxscore..he even made the allstar game...but this year he's been bothered by injuries...plus his off the court antics during the summer..have turned away alot of his supporters....howard hasnt gotten into a groove since returning...while maggette isnt known for his defense..he's a scorer plain and simple..and thats whut the mavs are missing ..from their starting shooting guards..barea has been ok..but he's unsized...and jason terry helps the team better by coming off the bench..if howard can return to his style of play make made him an allstar..the mavs will be great
It says the Warriors are trying to get Josh Howard for Corey Maggette......lol and there's a zero percent chance we are trading for a bad contract, and a worse player. Only way i might see it happening is if we get talent in return like Randolph and that's a huge stretch, and I know how much the Warriors fans like their Randolph.
In other words there's a 95% chance it doesn't go down. Well at least you're not getting Josh Howard for Maggette probably Carroll, Williams, Barea maybe?
As crazy as it might sound, Randolph might actually be a possibility. The Warriors' organization and its fans aren't exactly on the same page (sometimes, I don't even think they're even in the same book).
Our FO covets a big like Bosh or Amare
There is no way Dallas would trade Josh Howard for Corey Maggette. Maggette can still play, but not like he used to. Howard is only 29 and can still play he just is not having a good season. Maggette is what 32-33 years old I would not trade if I was Dallas.
Iono where your getting 33. He's only 1 year older than he is
howard's problems off the field and his struggle to stay healthy, i dont doubt this that much. plus dallas is in a win now mode, so i wouldnt be that surprised to their talent for older players.
i doubt if that trade is made. i think howard right now is a better player then corey is. then again stranger trades have happened before
The Warriors want Josh Howard because he's basically on the last year of his deal. Next year is a team option. It'd be a good move for the Warriors... They'd be unloading Maggette's contract which still has three years and $30,786,207 remaining AFTER this season.
Why do these teams keep giving guys, especially slashers, who are entering the downturn of their careers such long, large contracts?
