Yall Might Disagree But Hear Me Out...
I'd say Barnes is better, but its a closer race than people give Sullinger credit for, but I wouldnt say he is "WAY better"
Barnes, Sullinger, and Knight are the High Schools 3 best players, the arguement just seems to be which order are the 3..
Barnes looks better than Sullinger to me as a prospect..I think Barnes has a much bigger upside than Sullinger, but both are going to be good. I just don't see All-Star type ability from Sullinger though, even though he does seem to have the ability to be a solid stater
Yeah I could be wrong about Barnes because his personality might be the Tim Duncan type. I hope I'm wrong because his ability to handle and score at his size and age is dang near unbelieveable. And I agree that Sully won't be an annual all-star in the NBA, but I feel this class is weak anyway. There are no LeBrons or Roses or Walls in this class that you look at while they are in High School and say "I'm willing to bet my next paycheck that guy is going to be the number 1 pick."
Prospect? No way dude. Sullinger is an undersized PF who isn't athletic or quick. He's a fantastic player now and in college he will be dominant, but at best he will be a solid 4...Most likely back up pf. Sullinger will not be able to guard 4's in the NBA and he is too short to guard 5's.
Barnes has number 1 pick written all over him Most complete scorer in the class, has great physical ability, is a good defender and is a good leader.
If these 2 players could come out of the draft right now, Barnes would be a top-10 pick and Sullinger would be lucky to be a first round pick.
barnes reminds me of deng. i watched him in highschool and it was like a mirror image. he could handle shoot score. he would have been the number one player in the nation if it wasnt for some kid from ohio;). and greg how is sullinger not athletic?..he beats other pf's up the floor he has very good lateral quickness?..all he doesnt do is jump out of the gym thats it. too many people think being athletic is just about jumping high..he jumps high enough to dunk on people( dunked on cousins and on the plumlee kid at duke last summer. i do think barnes has more potential because when some one is tall and more athletic then they are always good. ever person who is more athletic will always be said to have more potential. thats why people always said d.jordan and bj mullans has the most potential and why people say perry jnes has the most potential. people dont tend to say that about guys who dont have alot of bounce
It's official, Dengis the most overrated player today. I watch a ton of Bulls games. I have never ever seen Deng beat someone off the bounce and finish strong. All of Dengs'shots are chucked up 18 footers of Roses' penetration, he can't create his shot at all. His athleticism is way way below average, his handle is suspect, and he can't finish. Barnes has an all around game on offense and create his own shot or for others anythime he wants, he will be way better than Deng. BTW he is 10X better an athlete than Deng.
I think Jared Sullinger is a WAY better prospect than Harrison Barnes. Don't get me wrong, Barnes has Lotto written all over him. But I see a fire in that Sullinger kid. Trust me that counts. Barnes has unreal skills for a guy his height and he obviously has the passion for the game, but is he nasty, ya know, cut-throat like the best of the best in the NBA. I saw it in Sully last night. The knock on Sullinger is he is undersized, but for those with a keen eye for basketball will notice his handle isn't bad and obviously will get better. I mean if the rumors are true that's he's 6'7" instead of 6'8", does anyone think he doesn't know he will have to work on his perimeter skills for the NBA? Agree or disagree?
