anyone watching the game on espn?..this is the kid i talked some about during this past summer. nice post moves strong more athletic then people give him credit for and high bball iq. out player favors, cousins and a couple other big men who are in college now. hes doing some nice work in this game against the top team in the nation
He's looking like a BEAST...he's got all the tools, except he's short for a PF and not the best athlete (he looks like he has a big wingspan though). He's got good feet and hands in the post..he's going to be a good good player in college right off the bat.
hes not mare but hes alot better then some think( shown by him running the floor his quick second jump that block of of tristen thompson hook shot and the dwn the lane tomhawk dunk. doesnt have to get much better as a athlete. thats why i compare him to zach randolph potentially
that was an absolute domination. I compare him to a bigger Dejuan Blair. Strong body, amazing hands, bruiser. I think he might be more athletic than Blair though.
After watching this game I cant help but think of Richard Hendrix both are in that 6-8,6-9 range very skilled, strong and solid rebounders him(sullinger) will be always knocked for not being very athelitic.
Richard Hendrix is a great comparison...I hope he has more of a future than him though
yeah the blair comparison is a good one. and he looked pretty athletic to me. he doesnt jump out the gym but he moves well with out the ball moves great side to side for a pf and gets up and down the floor. i think the people who say he isnt that athletic is only looking at the jumping part
Well I think the elevation off the floor is key for him offensively in the nba he probably wont be a great defender but he has a wide body and really gets after it on the boards and a long wingspan. He wont be much of a scorer in the NBA but I think he has potiental to be a very solid rotation player/starter as a rebounder. The interesting thing I saw today that impressed me was his ability to put the ball on the floor and attack the basket now even though it was on the HS level it was still indeed impressive for a guy his size.
what did he show that makes u think he wont be a scorer in the nba?..he scorers on every future nba big man hes faced..he dropped buckets on favors cousins henson even hawes a couple of years back when he was pretty young. i think he can score just as much as landry if he gets to his potential
I wouldn't call landry an legit lowpost scorer he gets his off sheer hussle and athelticsim...I don't think sullinger has that potienal to be a consistant low post player in the NBA because of his lack of height and athleticsm even though having a solid skill set I think he will be a grea college player thou nothing super in the NBA thou!
if you got skill then hight doesnt mean so much plus we dont know how tall he is(not that it matters) and landry scores also from post moves and mid range shots. seen him do it consistantly against my lakers and 2 other games. he can potentially do what zach randolph does. i still cant find a report where another big man out plays him from his jr year untill now( that includes aau and all american camps
