Renardo Sidney... Whats the deal?
After reading posts about Renardo Sidney on this site as well as others. It seems that the hype on this kid is building.
He is currently not allowed to play due to the NCAA not deeming him eligible. All of this is based of an investigation into his family's financial situation and how they were able to rent a $1.2 million home in California after moving from Mississippi. My views on it are "WHO CARES!", let the kid play basketball for the school which signed him... Leave all the financial matters out of it... I really don't understand what does this have to do with the kid being able to play ball for the school?
I know that I am not the only person interested in this kids game... he has the potential to be a big force in the league, and had he been able to sign with either USC or UCLA he would have had a great start to his career... But due to this whole ordeal with the NCAA he wasn't able play for either, yet still playing for Miss St. he will be a star player... IF HE EVER GETS TO PLAY!
What else do u guys know about this situation?
I heard he can play but if it was found hat violations were made, Miss St would lose all W's in which he played. So it is Miss. St who isn't letting him play which tells me that they think there was a good chance violations were made.
Go ahead and give me negatives... but I'm calling it right now...THIS KID IS A FAILURE.
Lance Stephenson and him I put in the same category in another post...I said both have weak characters and a "bad" head on there shoulders...
I will, right now, take back my Lance Stephenson comments. While I don't think he's the best freshman by any means, he has shown he can play team ball and defer to upper-classmen without being a cancer in the locker room. I don't think he'll be an All-Star at the next level, but the dude gets buckets and with his improved attitude I definitely see him going in the first round now...possibly lottery.
Enough with my rant on Stephenson...
Also, you're being completly ignorant of this situation man..."Just let the kid play" He moved to L.A. in highschool, was taking tours of Reebok facilities and Under Armour shoe factories...living well beyond his families means when he got to L.A.... so many red flags with this kid. Why the hell should Renardo Sidney be the exception to every single rule every other collegiate athlete has to follow? You just sound plain ignorant...
i don't think he can make an impact in the nba, very few players can come in and actually be effective they have to work at it. I don't think Sidney would practice, he would be ok with just getting paid and shooting around a little
I think he is a better prospect than favors cuz its a diff from having major game and having loads of potential. This kid has both and who cares what he did he b4 college I garuntee whenever he starts playing they will be selling his jersey and making money off of him like everybodys been doing? LeBron had a hummer in highschool and he didnt have money everybody gets something which they should. People make all this money off of kids and dont want them to have anything thats the problem its not like he has been a point shaver or something like that
the head case isnt really sydney its his father. its pretty known that the father has been the problem from day one not sydney. yeah he's a lil immature like most kids his age and he sometimes gets lazy and play off of his talent . i think hes gonna be very good player when he does play and if he works hard ecause hes one of the most talented if not the most talented of all the freshmen because of his big man size but guard skill set. right now he can play but if he does and its later found out that there was a violation then every game he played in would be forfited. you didnt hear about this kid driving expensive cars or shopping sprees or jersey's or chains etc. everything thats in question is the things his family might have recieved which his father had a very big hand in.
