Joe Johnson would be a better fit for the Bulls then Dwayne Wade

I know hes a hometown kid, and its a great story, but with the team the Bulls have, it seems to be that Johnson is a better fit to what theyre trying to accomplish

1. Derrick Rose- If theres one thing I have learned about Rose's regression, its that much of his success is predicated on having space to create. As Amazing as Dwayne Wade is, you would have two very similar players who are slashers and need the ball in their hands. A player with Johnsons shooting ability would force defense's to stay with him and give Rose room to shine

2. Johnson is more of a sure thing- The Hawks are a very good nucleus, but to me they are like the Jazz...An extremely solid team, but just not enough there to win a championship. If the Hawks go 1st or 2nd round again. I believe Johnson will seriously consider a change of scenery. To me Johnson with the Bulls roster is close to the Hawks team with potential to be better. Also, for my money Wade stays in Miami, so the last thing you need is to put all you dice in Wade and then him resign with Miami and Johnson is already gone to NY or another team

Obviously Wade on the Bulls isnt a bad thing and Im sure they'd be thrilled to have a true superstar finally...But IMO if im building a team Johnson is my first option

Wade

The Bulls need a superstar, not another role player. The fact that Wade is from the area and is the closest thing as far as playing style goes to Jordan only makes it better. I like Johnson, but he's clearly a number 2 option on a good team. I always thought that Cleveland should have pushed hard for him when he was a free agent, but they had their mind set on Michael Redd, though that fell apart. I like Johnsons all around game, but he's really not going to make the Bulls much better. He may just make them a playoff team that gets beat in the first round every year, but if they wanted that, they could have just resigned Ben Gordan.

td - Johnson needs the ball

td - Johnson needs the ball in his hands just like Wade does.

doubledribbler - johnson is top 10 in the league and vastly underrated. what else do you need to be a superstar?

Its gotta be Wade because he is top 3 in the NBA but i hate the fact that he cannot stay healthy for a full season

What?!?!?!?

What in the world makes Joe Johnson a top 10 player? He's a very good role player at best. He's the guy you pair with the Superstar. If anyone ever asks me Wade or Johnson, it's always going to be Wade. Finals MVP and Olympic Gold Medalist. The guy is still amazing despite playing with so many guys that are complete garbage. You don't even compare a top 5 guy in the league with a guy that is probably anywhere from 15-20.

Knicks Freak

Please tell me how Johnson is like Wade first off?

Wade is similiar to lebron where he needs the ball for the most part to be effective. For me Johnson is way more similiar to younger Ray Allen when he use to take the ball to the hole more. Johnson isnt as effect shooter as Ray but similiar in style. If I am the bulls I wuld try to get Johnson to be honest. Rose needs the ball to develop into the star he could be, key word is could. Wade as said before would dominate the ball and make Rose less effective. Rose needs a shooter like he had before in Gordon, but someone taller and how understands defense. A lineup of Rose, Deng, Johnson, Thomas, and Noah should be able make some noise especially if Johnson and Gibson add some depth upfront. Salmons can also be killer 6th man I think.

Joe Johnson is most

Joe Johnson is most effective with the ball in his hands. He is like a point forward that can score. I compared Johnson and Wade because you said he'd be a better fit because he wouldnt take the ball out of Rose's hands. I disagree and think that he would.

doubledribbler - name 9 players better than him.

Lebron
Melo
Wade
KG when healthy
Paul
Dirk?
