"Why Xavier Henry should be a Bull" -- ChiXclusive

Is it that time of year... no. Nevertheless, Bulls made it clear that frustrations are roaring within - due to scoring droughts. Until these previous games of early December, we all knew what caused this ominous event; Ben Gordon wanted his dignity and Reinsdorf countered, paraphrasing, "Mini-me, please." I'm just being brutally honest, no one else wants to be. Lets own up to it, if you want to win going forward, our best bet is to tank - how's that for pride. Derrick Rose, obviously our franchise player, needs to replenish those assist and points from last year - having personal connections with Derrick and his family - nothing to worry about. Once you enable him, sky's the limit. Though, it isn't happening - at least without him forcing his disposition - until a true scorer/shooter arrives to cure our offensive woes. Xavier Henry - once bear resemblance to Chuckie Finster from Rugrats in part of his hair - has been on my radar as of late. When you look at this Frosh, primarily his physique is what materializes. Then, his family structure exudes pedigree. His brother, C.J., while currently accompanying him on Kansas basketball team, is playing professional baseball during the summers. Also, Xavier's mother and father played basketball professionally. I've never surveyed a more symbolic understanding of Shooting Guard than Xavier Henry. The adult body, but youthful appearance, Henry's arms pack extra-punch, which allows him to duplicate his last shot attempt with consistency - in his own words, "shooting is easy". His Jump-shot is pure as Michael Redd's. Henry's 18 year old strength holds much to desire in the near future, if you haven't already heard. If you're looking for a Scoring or Shooting Guard to assemble alongside Rose, then it doesn't get any worthier than the inbred Oklahoman. I must admit, at this stage of his premature career, Xavier is ahead of former Jayhawk, Brandon Rush. Xavier's first game of the schedule resulted in a outburst for 27 points, recording 5 of 8 from downtown, with additions of 6 for 6 at the free-throw line and he hasn't simmered since. Before going into the game against Hofstra, the 18 year old was asked how hard has it been adjusting to the College game, his response was plain, "I exceed under pressure." While John Wall, Demarcus Cousins, and other Freshmen get the hype from Dick Vitale, Xavier Henry is trying to be incognito - much like Rose, Xavier tailors that action. In every game, so far this year, with two justified stars on the same roster, Xavier has found his niche and admits he's still learning the system that hasn't become second nature. There's no confusion about his ability to score, pass, or play defense. Although, some critics are harping on his lack-of when putting the ball on the floor - that should come along as he matures. In one's own view, Henry doesn't need to put the ball on the floor, his Jump-shot thwarts a lot of catastrophes from igniting. Anticipated: "Rose in transition... he probes... breaking down the defender... they collapse... he kicks it out to...

Derrick Rose is probably my

Derrick Rose is probably my favorite player in the NBA along with Kevin Durant....I dont understand why people knock him for his lack of agression or his laid back demeanor, I think that is one of his strenths, that he is unflappable and can stay on an even level...However, I am starting to have serious concerns about his game..The first is that he becomes a much better player if he has a shooting threat which clears up space for him to penetrate....Also he needs to vastly improve his jumpshot, starting with his fundamentals, which are awful, No one will respect him and will take away his ability to penetrate which is most of his strenth...i really hope he does what he needs Im really rooting for the guys

Actually

I've been secretly wishing the Bulls will get Xavier Henry because looking at the mock draft right now in which they will pick at 8, my mind was salivating...LOL... Imagine X going to my Bulls. He would be a great pick up for them... No doubt about that.... The Bulls are looking for answers and they have yet to find one... Obviously they miss Ben Gordon... In a basketball standpoint, they made a mistake by letting Gordon walk... But on the business side, they made the right choice of not signing Ben Gordon to a ridiculous 11 Million Dollars... That's too much for a one-dimensional guy... Getting or having that chance to draft Xavier Henry would be a good one for the Bulls.... That is IF they continue to play the way they are playing right now....

USE WHAT TALENT IS OUT THERE

There are plenty of talented scorers sitting in free agency waiting to be signed I just dont get GM's

Gerald Green low overhead give him a shot
Von Wafer will be back Give him a shot

Why do we have to wait years to get players to come back at 26 and 27 and than say oh he is good ALA Will Bynum who had super athleticism but is on the down side of his athletic career. What is going in are these GM's seeing straight

Basketball IQ IS LEARNED THROUGH TIME ON THE COURT some may be ahead but you can get it. This is like math the more you work at it the better you get and the bulls have plenty of time...

PICK UP STROMILE SWIFT SOMEBODY

THE GREATEST SCOUT OF ALL TIME

Henry should work on putting

Henry should work on putting the ball on the floor more and attacking and get better on the defensive side of the floor also hes strong enough to keep most guards away from the rim anyhow...but he a go up the board if he developes a better jumper....Micheal Redd wasnt known for his shot in college he was known for d and being a slasher but known hes known for the 3 from and his long range i think he can become a micheal redd that a open the floor for rose on the pick and rolls and on the fats break stay at the 3 and make defenders stay honest to him giving the man with the ball a easy scoring opportunity wether it be from the line or a easy lay up or dunk..it a be a good fit for the future but salmons is there now the bullsshould draft for there bench take the best player on the board when its there time to draft

i agree with the von wafer

i agree with the von wafer thing but im not sure von will even come back since hes making more money over seas. i know we are blinded by greens athletic ability but hes not that good of a player. its hard to swallow but its true. he has a low basketball iq and is very very inconsistant...as far as x.henry i never though about it but i think he would make a perfect fit in chicago. but i think he would look even better out in utah who will have a chance to get him...utah is the team i think people should watch out for next year because they will get either turner, henry,or johnson (if he makes it to the lotto)

Deron Williams and Xavier

Deron Williams and Xavier Henry sounds better than their current state. I like Brewer but Wes Johnson would be a great sub. I doubt they take on chance on Henry, wasn't Morris Almond there?

Draft Henry, sign

Draft Henry, sign Bosh....Future line-up looking something like this??

Rose
Henry
Deng
Bosh
Noah

That squad would be extremely competitive... if they can trade Tyrus for something of value, and James Johnson contributes some quality run off the bench...$$$

this draft will be the

this draft will be the biggest draft for utah since deron was drafted this is a make or break draft......boozer is gone after this season we all seen when he put up good numbers on the cavs beings honest he got his check in was gone lol

hes not staying in utah

favors isnt like most forwards that have been drafted recentley hes a 1 out of every 5 year player

but if the jazz go for a small forward or a shooting gaurd i cant blame them because a good power foward will slip to them in the second round

but if they go with this option who do they take

henry,evan,or johnson?

this will be a hard choice

but if they trade boozer this season since we know hes leaving they will slip in the win loss percentages

and wont make the play offs making it where they can get favors in 1 of the other 3

or 2 of the other 3 witch will allow them to start fresh with an all star cal point a great pf in milsap a replacement for okur in kufos and 2 f/g with a high ceiling and a power foward who slipped to the second round remeber dajuan blair, rashard lewis, deandre jordan, marc gasol, blatche the utah jazz can get a steal like those 1 in this pf draft

i say they go with that plan

1 out of every five year

1 out of every five year player???..how you figure that?...beasley is better blake was better. favors is defintaly not a one out of every 5 year player. if the jazz get him he will be millsaps back up. and uncle buckshot that would be a good team but so would bosh and henry on anyother playoff team

ok next year a player will

ok next year a player will come out who has a similar game to beasly and griffen and favors and the year after that also...plus the year after that...every year

stop playing

blake and beasly were once projeted to go in the same draft they were born the same year

favors is two years younger

i hate when ppl say beasly and blake have similar games wen they dont

blake relies on his speed and power...agression
beasly relies on his skill finess and iq

i will put beasly at the small foward before i put blake

who would you put at the small forward

blakes stronger
mike has a better offensive game in a game of all shots who do u take mike or blake

blake was in the same draft as beasly what it took blake to do in 2 years mike did in 1 in a better draft class also

i like favors make up i think he will be a better pick and roll defender then both...pass lane defender also he ozzes potenial

1 out of 5 year is reasonable 99 to 2004 stromile swift ,elton brand, keyon martian, tyson chandler and amere all similar players but i want you to tell me how many are making impacts..only 1 is a franchise player when they all were suppose to be franchsie players you cant argue fact all were explosive with similar games brand was better suited for the half court tho and has a better all around game then most but b4 injury but im saying 1 out of 5 years is reasonable
