This team looked pathetic against Atlanta tonight. Chicago is one of my favorite teams. How can this team turn it around? Right now the playoffs are looking very slim.
My wish list:
Sign Rashad McCants!
Tyrus Thomas get healthy! I told you all they miss Tyrus. He makes a big difference.
Trade Hinrich! I've been saying this forever. Bad contract. He is simply overpaid/overrated/whatever you want to call it. Jamal Crawford was punishing him this game. Plus Hinrich was shooting bricks.
One last thing to add to the wish list: Fire Del Negro! Thanks
I actually attended the game, and when I tell you they need scorers.....I think, well know, that they shouldn't have let Ben Gordon go. They have serviceable role players, but they need a scorer that's a 1st option type. Luol Deng is a 2nd or 3rd option and Derrick Rose is as well. Their frontline is not very good offensively, especially when they try to create their own offense.
They do miss Gordon's scoring but I'm glad they let him go. I wouldn't have paid him all that money. They might suffer through this season but in 2010 free agency they have plenty of cash to spend.
I agree Noah & Gibson isn't a very good offensive frontline.
I wouldn't mind seeing the Bulls shop Deng &or Salmons just to see what they can get in return.
Iggy- What about that dunk Josh Smith had on that fast break...haha that was pretty sick.
Which dunk lol! He had like 10, he got fouled for the and-1 on one of them, and then Joe Johnson threw him an alley on another. Josh is looking like an All-Star player this season. He made a few mid-range shots too. Just has to stop trying to block every single shot lol, it gets him in foul trouble at times.
If the Bulls shop one of those two, it would be Deng to unload his contract (which is a little inflated). Salmons is a good player and one of the very best defenders in the NBA, but no one ever notices that. He has the more reasonable deal of the two as well.
Anyone think they should try to get K-Martin?? He would provide some punch and move Salmons to the 3 or the bench. Create depth at the wing, where they need it, add scoring, and maybe win some games.
Rose is a PG not a scorer which they badly need. Kevin Martin would be a pretty good option if they could get him for cheap or they could wait til the draft and try to get someone like Henry or try to sign Wade this offseason but they badly need a scorer if they want to get back to the playoffs.
Hey idiots the blazers as well as the Bulls give a chance to gerald green, you got your defenses set all he can do is score
I would even make a push to recall a player by the name of dejuan Wagner who is better than Ben Gordon in highschool
but does not have the same consistency with the jump shot
HUEBOND THE NEXT BEST SCOUT OF ALL TIME
Kings are smart they know Kevin Martin has value will definately get something good in return for him.
How about Hinrich and a top 10 protected future 1st?
wagner is trash now..hes playing in iceland and not even standing out there. Plus the last thing the bulls need is another undersized guard who can't play D...better than ben gordon in high school? he played against weaker comp AND that was what, 6-7 years ago? As for green, I do think he deserves another chance but he wouldnt be the bulls answer. Dudes basketball IQ is like biddy basketball level..SO he would look cool on the break with rose but other than that he'd be useless forgeting/breaking off plays to jack bad 3s. they need a vet in the back court and hinrich aint the answer so I don't know why they keep holding on top him like when hes healthy hes really a game changer.package like hinrich and someone for jefferson on the spurs and hope Dwade comes over the summer.
Everyone should have known that this would be a lost year for the Bulls. It got worse with the Rose ankle injury. Gordon wasn't worth what he got paid. Would you rather pay 10 or 11 million for Gordon or at least get the CHANCE to sign Wade for maybe 15 or 16 million a year? No contest. With that said they lost their best scorer. The only thing that they really miss about Tyrus Thomas is that he provided the team depth. I'm not crazy about Taj Gibson, but he is growing on me. I think he is playing hard and as far as I am concerned has been way more consistent night in and night out than Tyrus ever was, he just doesn't have that same ceiling, though I'm thinking Tyrus will never reach it since he's afraid of using his length and athleticism to get to the rim and to cause havoc on defense. Rose still has a long way to go. He needs to become a better play maker for others. Salmons took a huge step backwards this year. Hinrich looks lost again.
It's time for the management to see who fits with Rose and who doesn't. Fire Del Negro and hope that someone worth hiring is available between now and next year. It's time to shop anyone that you don't think fits with Rose. As of right now the only guys that I don't attempt to trade on that team are Rose, Noah, and James Johnson. I probably keep a hold of Salmons because his contract is reasonable and he should bounce back next year, especially as a 6th man.
first im pretty sure wagner or green isnt the answer( by the way wagner is in poland not iceland and hes not tearing it up but getting a respectable 11ppg in league play) as far as ben gordan..short term it would have been great to sing him..long term though with all the money he was asking for would not have worked because they still would only be a second round team at best.
