Playoff Preview: Crooked Vultures vs Turtles

Turtles- 113.72 over Crooked Vultures- 104.74
Turtles- 127.14 over Crooked Vultures- 80.42

Well its no secret, Turtles has owned the matchup between the two. A late Greg Jennings' TD sealed the victory for Turtles in week one and a full throttled schlacking took place in week two. But as we can all attest, the past doesn't matter as long as you make it to the fantasy playoffs. Anything is possible (so says Kevin Garnett) after that.

Breakdown time:

Quarterbacks

The strongest part of Turtles team is its QBs. Rivers and Rodgers are both top 5 caliber QBs. Both have tossed 20+ TD passes this year. Both have solid matchups this Sunday as both will be throwing against some shaky secondaries. Meanwhile, Vultures' QB situation has been ugly all year. Schaub had his run, but a shoulder injury he suffered last Sunday may slow him down a bit. Nonetheless, he has a solid matchup this Sunday against the Seahawks. The other QB, whether it be Josh "Mr. Interception" Freeman or Matt "overpaid" Cassell, or both poor options as a 2nd QB, a 10-14 point game would be a great outing for them.

Turtles QBs: 42 points
Vultures QBs: 30 points

Running Backs

Turtles boasts a solid group of running backs. SJax gets his yards, its just a matter of him landing in the end zone. D-Will should be good to go against the Pats this year. Unfortunately he is limited as well, by a inexperienced QB and a backup running whom, for some reason, is a better option at the 1 or 2 yard line than D-Will. Charles, Ganther, and Forsett all have solid matchups as well. For the Vultures, a big game out of Thomas against the poor run defense of the Falcons is a must. Mendenhall, if at 100%, should have no problem getting his numbers against the Browns.

Turtles RBs: 25 points
Vultures RBs: 27 points

Wide Receivers

If Turtles can get any extra production out of this WRs then they will cruise to victory. Jennings big play ability has been non-existent this year, but he is always a threat to score on a long TD throw. MS-W has all the tools as Jennings. The Dolphins' secondary has been hampered by injuries, so he should have a solid performance. A couple of Schaub to Johnson TDs will make those Vultures happy. Boldin has made strides this year and finally seems to 100% healthy. Meachem and Britt are two young WRs that have also made strides and both could have big days this weekend.

Turtles WRs: 28 points
Vultures WRs: 31 points

Tight Ends

Vultures TE's have made little impact the past couple of weeks. It would be huge for the Vultures if one of these guys were to sneak into the endzone. Celek leads the TE position for Turtles and his 2nd TE, Todd Heap, couldn't ask for a better matchup.

Turtles TEs: 18 points
Vultures TEs: 9 points

Kickers

Turtles K: 8 points
Vultures K: 12 points

Defense

The Packers defense has turned it on after a loss to the Bucs, they should have no problem picking Cutler off about 3 times and sacking him about 5 times. A Packers defensive TD is very likely this Sunday. Meanwhile, the Vultures will be counting on the Jets defense to shut down the Bucs. Freeman has been turnover prone lately, which is good for the Vultures defense, but bad for his #2 QB.

Turtles Def: 17 points
Vultures Def: 15 points

Projected final score: Turtles- 138 points over the Vultures-124 points
