Lebron James's celebrations are excessive and pathetic

Ive thought this for a long time. But as I am watching the Bucks/Cavs game, it has become unbearable. After every point scored when he is on the bench he is dancing/strutting halfway onto the court/yelling. Like he says hes just having fun, but if i was on the other team I would do exactly what Joakim Noah did last night. It might be "having fun" but its also taunting, and I believe when it gets too excessive (as it is during this bucks game, although I didnt see the bulls game last night), he should be given a technical foul. His actions arent basketball, theyre showboating and its pathetic in my opinion. He has the game to back it up but that doesnt take away what it does to the game of basketball.

LBJ

Watch when the Lake Show and Celts come to town and dance all over there team and homecourt while his head is burried in a towel and then storms off the court another thing LeBron and Mo have been doing these celebration since last season Noah was just the first to bring it to attention.

I'll say why I took your

I'll say why I took your point. You said "he's not a quality person." And you know this because he dances on the court? You don't see a bit of a disconnect? You honestly think him enjoying himself is indicative of some severe character flaw? I'm glad he does it. He's never fake, like Kobe was for a good part of his early career, he doesn't make up a "role model" face. He does what he wants, and it becomes a big deal, and now he's a reprehensible human being. I can name far too many players that have done worse than dancing for this to even be an issue. Kobe may have raped a chick, at the very least cheated on his wife, and DANCING is what makes him "just not a quality person"? This is a damn joke.

ya but....

ok mkadoza, i totally agree that him dancing doesnt make him a bad person. BUT that still doesnt take away the fact that 107 hall of famers overwhelmingly just voted Kobe the best player on the planet. LBJ plays the game like hes in high school like the spotlight is all his (which it is) and that the game is about HIM. MJ (and many others PLUS kobe now) just play with the killer instinct that the game is HIS to takeover. I just plain out dont like how LBJ plays the game. Its not about the show you put on, its about the game.

Lebron is a great player and

Lebron is a great player and always shows how much fun he's having when his team is winning, but his true colors show when he is losing games. He acts like a baby when he doesnt win and for that I hope he never wins a ring so he can be remembered for being a crybaby loser. That had great stats but never won the big one. People stop making excuses for his behavior after losses and his dancing after plays that aren't that great

mkdoza where did i say he

mkdoza where did i say he was a bad person? yes kobe may have cheated on his wife but he doesnt show boat and cry like a &$#%#&@! when things dont go his way. lebron is a poor sport, immature self centered person. not a bad person, just not someone too be looked up too and idolized the way he is. i love watching his highlights because he is crazy athletic and a dominant player on both ends, but if you take away basketball what can you say about him? lebron isnt fake? surely your joking. i wonder how much bigger his head can get

if players dont liek it the

if players dont like it the best thing to do is beat his team and or out play him!!!...some mma fighters hate how anderson silva dances after he knocks them out. the solution is stop getting knocked out. many many players hated how jordan would talk junk to them all game and say some of the meanest things you could think of, but they couldnt do much about it because he would beat them and out play them. just gotta live with it or do something about it. i dont mind it if a player is having fun as long as hes not hurting anyone. id hate to see the league take away players fun like the players in the nfl say that there league is trying to do

call it what you want but if

call it what you want but if thats the case many of the greatest players had no class because they would talk junk the whole game. everyone has poor sportsman ship if you dance, talk junk, belittle another player. the only good sportsmen ship are players who just go out there and play. that dont talk any junk at all. and we cant say "well theres nothing wrong with talking a lil junk or talking junk because its different from dancing". cant use it for if it best suits us. so if what he did while not directing it to any player is bad sportsman ship then make sure to include all the other players who do the unnecessary trash talking as well

players can talk trash and

players can talk trash and at the end of the game still respect the other guys that they went up against that night. lebron should stick with putting a show on the court, not trying to get attention by dancing while on the bench. it seems like he is really worried about his image/ getting attention. he is called the king for a reason, cause hes one of the top 2, if not the best player in the league he should let his game do the talking and act like a grown man. take brandon roy for example, one of the classiest guys in the league. you would NEVER see him standing up on the bench river dancing after every basket. something lebron does on a regular basis. when it comes down to it the dancing isnt even a real big deal but when your the best at something like he is it says alot more about a persons character when they can play the game like lebron and still be respectful to the guys you just murdered on the court.

everything you said can be

everything you said can be applied to a player talking trash. let youre game speak for it self. as far as brandon roy..have you seen hsi antics lately?..the selfishness that hes displayed on and off the court? you cant just apply the sportsmanship thing to when it suits you..just liek noah took offense to the dancing you have some players who didnt. just like wit the trash talking you have some players who take offense to that and some who dont. cant have one be so wrong yet the other be ok

trash talking usually goes

trash talking usually goes both ways. i dont see guys on the other team step up to lebron and start dancing in his face lol. brandon roys antics? hah you dont know what your talking about roy is so humble he hasnt changed at all since hes been in the league. such a nice person he knows what respect means. if your talking about whats been goin on with andre miller all that has been blown wayyy out of proportion get your facts straight. and just because other players dont openly give lebron crap for acting like a tool doesnt mean that they arent thinking it. iv said that even though i dont like him as a person i love lebrons game. can your really say that lebron is a respectful person or is it more likely that hes immature and loves being the center of attention

That's why

That's why I have a lot of respect for guys like Chauncey Billups, John Stockton and Derrick Rose because they rarely show emotion when they're on the court...Even if they make big shots, they don't shout that much or show intense emotion... They show calmness in times of trouble... LBJ is a different player and it's up to a team like the Celtics, Magic and Lakers to send them back to earth since they have been in cloud 9 FOR NOW... But in my eyes, it's definitely an insult on the opponents' part because it is a sign of ridicule on them... Take Note: I love LeBron James but this is what separates him from legendary players like Michael Jordan, Magic and Larry...even Dwyane and Kobe... They do have fun sometimes but not THAT excessive... They don't dance at every bucket made by their team... They simply cheer from the sidelines and wave at their towels or whatver...

Come on man, I respect your opinion, but what seperates LeBron from those guys is the way they celebrate? I, as a kid, have always been told to have fun while playing ,that's the best part, I always have always will. Was he dancing and pointing and laughing at them? Or was he just trying to get a laugh from his teammates and have fun? He loves his teammates, hi teammates love him, which seperates him from alot of the players you mentioned above, I think. At leats thats how I view it. This summer I heard about LeBron mentoring Hickson , look what he's done to him, hes a whole new player. While Kobe, is the exact opposite, said about a future all-star and the best C in the west right now and his teammate to ship his a$$ out. LeBrons just different to me, in a good way.

i SEE YOUR POINT

I see your point mikenike... You got it... But I think when you see it on TV it's already excessive celebrations... I didn't mean LBJ is separated from those guys at a basketball player's standpoint but I see them separated in terms of dealing with winning... LBJ when winning dances a lot, and I do mean, alot... When he loses, he doesn't know how to deal with them... Doesn't talk to the media, doesn't shake hands with anybody... That's what irony really is... In terms of those guys, I have never seen any of those guys bicker nor refuse to shake hands with the players or teams that beat them... That's what separates LBJ for now... I didn't mean he's different as a basketball player because he isn't... He will be considered one of the greatest ever once its all said and done but all this excessive "celebrations" has got to stop.

Oh, I see where your coming

Oh, I see where your coming from, my fault if I came off the wrong way.And I agree that it wouldn't hurt him to mature a bit on and off the court .

i love lebrons game he is an amazing player. it might be just me but it doesnt make me want to cheer for him when i see him dancing on the bench...non stop. doesnt matter what his intentions are what matters is how other people interpet it, and joachim noah showed us what other players think of it
