good list, but

I like a lot of what I see in your list.

so kevin martin with the team = 1-4

without...they're 8-4. *

not a chance he's in the top 50 anyway.

KMart was playing the best

KMart was playing the best ball of his carreer before the injury. Sac was still getting used to how play with a lot of young new guys in the lineup. Martin would put up numbers on any team in the league because he is so efficient and shoots well from anywhere on the court. I wouldn't hold the kings record against him becasue a 1-4 start is too early to really tell.

thanks. I actually spent

thanks. I actually spent time ranking players at each position and tried to put some thought into it. Of course anything is arguable with these kinds of rankings. Just my opinion.

Russel Westbrook under NO

Russel Westbrook under NO CIRCUMSTANCES is better than Vince Carter....Aaron Brooks never in his life will be Lamar Odom....

Dhamp2...the greatest basketball mind in the world. Next to Hubie Brown anyway.

1. Carmelo will lead the NBA in scoring.
2. Dwight Howard is overated.
3. Wesley Johnson is a top 15 pick and the best transfer in the country.
4. There's no way Steve Nash should have two MVP, while Kobe has one.
5. The Lakers will 3hree-peat.
6. Eric Devendorf will be drafted (sorry about that one).
7. R.I.P. Earl Manigualt.
8. Brandon Jennings will win ROY
9. Matt Barnes is vastly underated
10. I don't always dring beer, but when I do, I drink Dos Equis. Stay Thirsty my friends.

rudeboy-Kmart has played

rudeboy-Kmart has played already and will be back. Yao will not play this year and with TMac he hasn't played yet and he was injured most of last year too, so we have no idea what to expect from him. WIth Martin, we saw where he is at early this year and with a wrist injury, he should be able to jump right back into form.

dhamp-westbrook is not as skilled as vince, but his impact on the game is better. He is maybe the second best defensive pg in the league, while vince can't defend too well. Also, if vince is going with his shot, he can takeover, but when he struggles or plays disinterested, he seems to be invissible on the court. Westbrook's presence is always felt. Even when Durant is struggling, westbrook is pushing the ball and getting into the lane. He has stepped up big this year and does not have the luxury of picking and choosing his spots like vince. He just has a greater impact on the game imo.

As for Brooks over Odom, Brooks was the rockets mvp in the second round last year in the playoffs and he has contintued it by being their mvp again this year. He runs that team. Odom has all the tools but we've seen him struggle even as a second option in the past. He is comfortable being the 3-5th option and picking his spots. Again, brooks is having a greater impact on the game then odom does at this point and doesn't have the luxury of picking his opportunities like Odom.

I just can't agree

I just can't agree Ilperez22. If you ask GMs today, they'll take Vince Carter over Russell Westbrook and Lamar Odom over Aaron Brooks. I do respect you opinion, though. And I didn't even notice that Boozer wasn't in the top 50???huh???

i personally feel that evans and jenning's impact on the games is better than harris's and ellis's right now.

talent wise? who knows.

This is the best list I've

This is the best list I've seen so far, especially the top 15.

Carolos Boozer is a top 50 player and I'm 100% sure. I'm a huge Oden supporter, but I'm not sure if he's a top 50 player just yet. I know you're not a big Stoudemire fan, but he's a top 25 player. I think Westbrook is a top 50 player, but to say he's a top 30 player is absurd. Arenas over Parker and Iguodala over Pierce is questionable. Josh Smith, Rashard Lewis and Lamar Odom below Kevin Martin, Aaron Brooks and Monta Ellis? Idk...

tezo, I agree that there are

tezo, I agree that there are many arguments here with my list like anyone's. but I'll defend myself anyways.

As for boozer, i might be completely wrong on him and I looked to include him. I guess he would be 51st on my list becasue I just can't say that he does more to impact a game then anyone on my list. His numbers are better then his actuall impact. I watched Odom outplay him both of the last 2 playoffs. I watch him settle for jumpers and play sub par defense.

Oden being top 50 is questionable. But I'll repeat something I've been saying to everyone else, I judge a lot about how much of an impact a guy has on a game, not just skills and numbers. Oden makes the opponent adjust how they attack Portland. He controls the paint defensively. his offense is coming along, but his defense and rebounding is a constant force.

I fyou think Westbrook top 30 is absurd, then who on my list would you put ahead of him? I've actually never had anything against Amare, but he is not playing that great this year. He is not forcing his presence on any game. I watch a lot of him actually and he seems comfortable just playing off the ball and finishing occasional shots off of Nash's passes. 19 pts and 7 rebs while being one of the worst defensive bigs in the league does not cut it. Besdies, i still have him top 30 which isn't terrible. If it was about talent and not actaul production he would be higher.

All 6 of those guys you mentioned in Odom, Smith, Brooks, Martin, Ellis and Lewis are very close on my list. But the big difference is that Martin, Brooks, and Ellis are the best player on their team. Odom, Lewis and Smith have never been the best player on any team. They are great compliments. Ellis has his bad games, but he still has the ability to take over. Martin was playing great before the injury and is such an efficient scorer that he would get 20+ on any team in the league. Brooks is a leader who does not force anything while still getting points and knocking down big shots. He might not takeover games, but he runs the show well and shows no real weaknesses.

If we're going off of

If we're going off of impact, then how isn't LeBron James at the top? Kobe is the best in the league skill wise, but he doesn't impact the game as much as LeBron James. Maybe not even more than Dwayne Wade or Chris Paul either.

Based on your impact reasoning, I can definitely see why you have those players I mentioned ranked where they are. Like I said... It's the best list I've seen.

Outstanding list really like

Outstanding list really like the Top 20, but i would have Pierce at 20 not Gil. He has been the main offensive weapon for a team that also has KG and Ray Ray deserves top 20.
