Amare is a lazy bum/6 reb a gm

I'm going to start calling out the most overated players in the league. Let's start with lazy Amare Stoudamire. He's averaging 6 rebounds a game, lol. For all of his athleticism, he's NEVER averaged 10 rebounds or played defense. It's crazy. And the fact that he makes the all-star team every year is even more mind-boggling because he gets five or six extra shots per game becaue of the Suns style of offense!!! If you put Zach Randolph in that inflated offense and he'll look like Moses Malone.

Also, Eric Snow and Steve Smith should be fired from NBA TV because they never know what they're talking about. I hate the both. They somehow thought Amare would average 10 rebounds. They are never right on anything.

Dhamp2...the greatest basketball mind in the world. Next to Hubie Brown anyway.

1. Carmelo will lead the NBA in scoring.
2. Dwight Howard is overated.
3. Wesley Johnson is a top 15 pick and the best transfer in the country.
4. There's no way Steve Nash should have two MVP, while Kobe has one.
5. The Lakers will repeat.
6. Eric Devendorf will be drafted (sorry about that one).
7. R.I.P. Earl Manigualt.
8. I don't always dring beer, but when I do, I drink Dos Equis. Stay Thirsty my friends.

Wow

Finally someone agrees with me. For someone who has all the tools to be the best defensive player this side of Kevin Garnett, he chooses to play no defense and averages only 1 rebound per game more than jason richardson...he is offensively challenged as well relying on his leaping abilities to get to the basket rather than developing honest post skills

the top 5 PF's in the western conference

1. Duncan
2. Dirk
3. Gasol
4. Boozer
5. David West

and THEN amare followed closely by aldridge, randolph, millsap, and jeff green

i dont think he would become

i dont think he would become densive player of the year if he ever started playing d everynight but at least he could ecome someone depenable to shut his man down everynight and swat a few weak side blocks, and i think dirk is now better then duncan only because duncan has slowed down and dirks game is just as good as his other years

all very athletic players

all very athletic players have the tools to be great defenders but for some reason they end up not being great defender or rebounds. one person who does with all the tools is gerel wallace. vince carter should be a better defender as well as josh smith(not just blocking shots) and derrick rose

I hate to agree with D Hamp

I hate to agree with D Hamp but he is right. Now Amare has been my favorite player since he was a rookie but it so disappointing that he can only get 6 to 7 rpg and like 1bpg. Chris Bosh is super skinny and hes getting like 12rpg and amare is just as athletic and probably more and he is definately stronger. He should be at atleast 11 boards a game and over 2 blocks. Im starting to get frustrated with him but its looking more and more like he isnt going to be a Sun after this season. I think part of his poor play is attributed to the fact he doesnt want to play for Phoenix no more. Thats no excuse because he is getting paid alot of money but you know how these athletes are nowadays. Anyway DHamp is right....this time. And D Hamp for as smart as you are you should know how to spell their names, its StoudEmire.

D-Hamp!!!!

You are still wrong about Howard... He didn't make it the Finals being a BUM... What big men in the NBA is better?

But the Nash thing I definately agree with...

I've wrote this the beginning of last basketball season when Amare was crying aout Shaq being there... Here's my problem with Amare, Nash, and the Suns (or that system)... It generates a lot of points against teams that are defenisively challenged, but good defensive teams normally beats them (especially if the team can score 100+ a game)... Nash nor Amare play a lick of defense... But consistently going to All-Star games and winning MVP awards over players that had 81 points and held the opposing team best wing player to 15? Amare is a huge bum, but I just don't know who to point the finger to for their success... If I say Amare's a bum, then Nash gets props, but if I say "Amare was injured majority of last year so that's why they are doing well now, he's back", then Amare gets his... I blame it on the system that provide over average talent to excel in it, while below average NYK are doing mediocre... Nevertheless... Amare is a bum!!!!

I think you need to look at what Aldridge has done this year, and then tell me he's still better than David West....Aldridge's soft @ss is averaging 14, 7, and .5 blocks.....weak numbers for a "legit" power forward and a pretty big fall off from his stats last year.

This is old news

Everyone knows Amare is soft on D and doesn't rebound.
Its another reason he's not a max player.

You'd definately rather have Boozer than him at least Boozer gives you the effort and has a real post up game.

Don't start this crap about Kobe deserving more MVP's.
He plays with an all star line up.
Lebron should be MVP every year ahead of him look who's on his roster.
Besides Mo Williams no one else would start on the Lakers.
Varajeo wouldn't even make it as a back up PF because Odom is so much better than him.
Farmar and Brown are 10x better than Gibson.

After Lebron you would take Kobe, Gasol, Bynum, Odom, Artest first then Mo Williams if you had to choose players.

Amare

Just watch the suns. Nash deserves way more credit than Amare. Nash is a bad defender, but you can live with that with a point guard. You can't with your best big man, especially if they have the tools to be better. Also Nash is a pg and not expected to rebound a lot. Amare is a big, and he gets so few rbds in a fast break offense that inflates his stats, including rebounds. Look at David Lee. He is averaging about 19 and 10 this season, but he is rightfully criticized for not being able to compete with big centers and to rebound. The offense the Suns and the Knicks run hugely inflates stats, and Amare's still look not great.
Also, Nash is way more important to the Suns offense than Amare. Amare would be nothing if he had average NBA athleticism.

hold up?..how is the kobe mvp tyalk crap?..he has been the best player int he nba for awhile and only has one mvp. i dont think team should have alot to do with it. you could take away magic and birds and bill russells awards since they had the best teams and jordan. on top of kobe leading that horrible team they had a couple years ago to the playoffs. lebrons team is better then the team kobe had with doo browm smush parker and........ i dont even remeber half of the other players other than odom

Waste of Talent

Amare Stoudemire is one of the most talented players in the league. He just never uses it.
He is waaaayyy too lazy on defense and he doesn rebound like he should.

He should be averaging 25-30pts, 11-15 rebounds , and 2 blocks with the suns. But his averages now are weak and
unacceptable. Has hall of fame talent but doesnt do anything with it.

Kinda similar to rasheed wallace , except less technical fouls.

I say more chris webber and less of the others including Dennis Scott and Brent Barry. I kinda like Mchale hes alright.

IDK what else to say to you NK2010

1) You need to remove that profile pic because LBJ isn't going there..

2) Quincey already alluded to the Kobe vs. LeBron a couple years ago... And the 81 point scenrio I told you about earlier was THAT YEAR!!! That dude had the most games scoring 40+ in a row that year... But Nash wins MVP for 16 PPG and 12 APG? LOL... Too funny...

3) *News flash* Shannon Brown was on that Cavs team a couple years ago... He was a bench warmer (or so they thought). They threw him in that trade for Ben Wallace... (This is another reason why I say LBJ making his teammates better over Kobe is a joke)...

4) LeBron has everything in place that every GREAT team/player won with... Another pentrator in Mo Will, Shooters everywhere, team defense, and big man who is able to score on the low block... With an afro wearing hutsle man? Stop giving this man excuses... LeBron needs to work on his in-between game and stop quitting on his teammates when times get rough... I really feel like he's not a natural leader... He's forcing it for the sake of saving face... But regardless Danny Ferry has done everything possible for that man to stay happy... His coach has too... Don't know what else to say about that...

5) Boozer plays worst D than Amare does... He is always a victim on the defensive end (the funny thing is when he came into the league that was his role)... Don't know if I would want any of them, especially Boozer saying he opting out his contract in th beginning of the season while he's injured...

6) This one is to everybody- Food for thought... Phil Jackson won more than 3 rings, BUT never gets credit for it because he had great players... BUT what coach hasn't? Popp? Red? Riley? Seriously... Every team that had won a championship (other than the Pistons, but that was given to them, but thats a whole new story) had a Top 5-10 player EVER at his position leading that team... But my man Phil wll never get credit... So, if and when you start naming the best coaches ever, Phil should be #1...

another player who i thought

another player who i thought should have done more but no one say much about because hes gonna be a HOF and has won titles and awards.... shaq. i always thought he could easily put up 20 or more reb and at least 5 or 6 blks a game before he started gaining all that weight. lets not forget he was just as quick if not quicker then howard. was more powerful and jumped damn near or higher then howard. this was a guy who was really unstoppable in his prime
