Seton Hall is now 5-0. Herb Pope is averaging a double double. He had another double double tonight. Seton Hall has a good mix of guard & low post scoring.
Penn St. beat Virginia tonight. Battle had 32 points, he took over the game. Landesberg lead Virginia with 18 points. He wasn't as aggressive as he needed to be though.
Greg Monroe had a double double. Georgetown had an easy victory.
Syracuse destroyed Colgate. Wesley Johnson shot the lights out. He had 19 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 steals.
Memphis is getting ready to beat Oakland. Elliot Williams has 20 points, he is playing well. The big Center Keith Benson for Oakland isn't doing much. He is a 1st round pick in 2010 in the current mock draft on here.
Kentucky won in a blowout over UNC Asheville. This was a no contest. UNC Asheville is like a high school team really. Wall had 12 points, 14 assists, 6 steals. Cousins & Patterson both had close to double doubles. Dodson shot the ball well from long range.
I said Seton Hall was my sleeper for a tourny earlier this summer, it's just a matter of whther they defend. They have plenty of firepower offensively esp with Pope there now.
I also predicted that Penn State would beat Virginia in your ACC/Big 10 topic, with Taylor Battle taking over the game.
I watched the Syracuse game, and Wesley Johnson is a good looking player...he has very few weaknesses in his game. Also, I think that Syracuse should let Scoop Jardine run their team, he's an incredibly instinctive playmaker for others. I really like his game alot. Triche is a better scorer than him, but their offense looks great when Jardine runs the point.
Yea he got all his points at the very end, but they make it interesting...He showed a better shot than I remembered him having last season too...
