the kings future looks bright
for the first time in awhile. tyreke evans is proving people wrong including me. 19 ppg.5.3 rppg , Omri Casspi was a steal, its time for him to start, thompson is a beast, greene is playing some good d. this team is young but its on the verge on being a really good team down the road. all they need is now a center to help thompson out, maybe trade martin and slide evans to the 2 and get a playmaker point guard.

Yeah, They've been drafting

Yeah, They've been drafting well the last couple of drafts

2009 - Tyreke Evans, Omri Casspi, John Brockman
2008 - Jason Thompson, Donte Greene
2007 - Spencer Hawes

All solid picks, all still developing
Thats how you build a team, draft picks

Still have some holes, but it'll come in due time

The Kings' future is def. bright

Jennings doesn't deserve anything at this point... The season is 82 games, not 20.

A lot of people have counted Griffin out, which is silly considering he'll be fresher than every other rookie. He'll be catching his stride while other rookies are hitting that famous rookie wall.

That award is still up for grabs.

I agree that Jennings is the

I agree that Jennings is the leader at this point, but this season is still young... A lot of fans acted like they didn't expect him to struggle and the award is just his hands down. EVERY rookie has his struggles.

A lot of people don't think about the fact that Jennings didn't play a lot in Europe. He hasn't played big time minutes since high school and that was only 8 min quarters. You also play no more than 30 games in high school. NOW... He's about to play 82 games... 48 mins per game versus the best competition in the world. He's going to hit that rookie wall, just like every other rookie.

this draft is full of big

this draft is full of big men and i think they'll grab someone low key like always and along the lines of Keith Benson(he gave it to Cole Aldrich) and then will be solid and deep at every position. Also the kings have players that can play multiple positions so they can draft almost anywhere(but they really need a center even though hawes has shown improvement recent games)- benos played at 2, thompson is a pf/c(but a better pf), same with hawes, reke can play point and the 2, casspi and donte can play sf and sg

Kings

They have a ton of young talent, and I know it was mentioned they need a playmaker pg but I really think Beno Udrih and Sergio Rodriguez are very underrated. Rodriguez isn't the fastest guy but he is QUICK with the ball and Beno is a larger pg that can bang a little but more importantly his left hand kills opponents in the cluth. He drives to the left and throws up a J or a 3 and it goes in whenever the Kings need a bucket. He is their go-to-guy right now. As good as Evans is, Udrih is who they want to have the ball when they need some points. He's coming off the bench right now because I think the Kings want to see if Evans can play pg, but there were a few times in tonights game where Beno, Evans, and Rodriguez were on the floor at the same time, with Casspi at the 4. That's a small lineup, but you have to love what Westphal and Petrie have done with this 17 win team.
