Allen Iverson Officially Declares Retirement

http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/blog/ball_dont_lie/post/Allen-Iverson-retire...

Kinda crazy, he still has a &$#%#&@! load of talent, and can still ball with the best of them...but his attitude and style of play has led him out of the NBA.....rediculous

MAN, I thought he was just kidding!
well I guess he fooled all of us
He had a incredible career, and it is just sad to see it end this way.

Man...

What can we say about this dude? He's led the league in scoring, been a multiple All-Star, won an MVP in both All-Star and Regular Season. Crossed & Dropped many, carried a team of booty players on his back all the way to the Finals and left us with that Memorable Play. (Step over Lue) It was sad to see him tossed around the way he was towards the end of his career, but it just goes to show you. If you have the talent, you still need to have a good attitude & be understandin'. Dude was my fave player for a long time runnin', heck since I started watching ball. I'd go to all the games when his teams came to Houston. Sad Sad Day...Goodbye A.I.
All the haters can't say they are glad either...Great Career, heck Fantastic. First Ballot Hall of Famer, a True Warrior, & The GREATEST Little Guy ever. Don't care what anyone says.
OH & let's not forget about leaving one of the funniest Post Game Interviews along with bringin his Swagger to the NBA and taking the league by storm coming out of college. (Crossing MJ)
Dude has so many things...
EDIT : Not a Post Game interview, my bad. haha.

A.I Statement, there was a lil more

"I would like to announce my plans to retire from the National Basketball Association," Iverson said in a statement on StephanA.com, Smith Web site. "I always thought that when I left the game, it would be because I couldn't help my team the way that I was accustomed to. However, that is not the case.

"I still have tremendous love for the game, the desire to play, and a whole lot left in my tank. I feel strongly that I can still compete at the highest level."

it a very sad day in the nba

it a very sad day in the nba it almost like someone died but A.I. was crazy with it who do you know that was 6ft 165lbs score 27 for his career 6th all-time i meant add and get knocked around like he did all of his career and managed to stay healthy most of his time in the nba. Man i was really hoping that he would go to boston and back up ray but i guess that wont happen now. You know what he should of did was sit out this year and wait until 2010 when everyone and their mama would have money

i love AI but my goodness.

i love AI but my goodness. he needs to grow the hell up. he could easily agree to come off the bench and make a team great but he chooses not too. he wants to play "his game". his game is no longer effective with the team image. he could easily help so many teams by being a great sixth man off the bench. its pitiful he is too stubborn to win
