Week two may be a harbinger for the 2009-10 season as many of the early season favorites struggled. Will this be a year of parity or will we chalk it up to early season rust? Get ready for a holiday feast with a full slate of early season tournaments this week.

Rank (Last Week)
Record
Comment
1. Kansas (1)
3-0
The Jayhawks really struggled against Memphis…overrated or overconfident?
2. Michigan St. (3)
4-0
Sparty survived a close one at home against an underrated Gonzaga squad.
3. Texas (4)
2-0
We can't wait to see this team tested against North Carolina and Michigan State in Mid-December
4. Syracuse (NR)
4-0
At their pseudo home court of MSG, Syracuse served notice that they are a contender and Wesley Johnson has the makings of a star.
5. Kentucky (2)
4-0
With a huge game winner against Miami (OH) the legend of John Wall begins…but no one is impressed with a two point win over the Redhawks
6. Purdue (8)
3-0
Can the Boilermakers handle Tennessee's pressure defense? If they can they will notch a big win Monday night.
7. Villanova (7)
5-0
Battled to win a couple of close games in Puerto Rico versus George Mason and a strong Dayton club. Then they handled Ole Miss in the championship.
8. West Virginia (6)
1-0
Reports out of Morgantown are that Ebanks absence was due to suspension. No word if he will be able to play in Anaheim at the 76 Classic.
9. Duke (14)
4-0
4 cupcakes, 4 blowouts…we'll learn more about Duke this week in MSG.
10. Tennessee (10)
4-0
After three blowout wins, the Vols survived a close one against DePaul
11. Butler (12)
3-0
Despite their 3-0 record, the Bulldogs have underperformed so far. They have to pick it up if they plan to compete in Anaheim Thanksgiving weekend.
12. North Carolina (5)
4-1
Backcourt issues were obvious during their win over Ohio St and the ugly loss to Syracuse. Tar Heel fans should not worry because the young team showed potential.
13. Washington (16)
4-0
Pondexter and Thomas are both averaging 20 plus PPG. This is the toughest tandem to stop in the Pac-10.
14. UConn (NR)
3-0
Feels like Duke and UConn are on a crash course for the NIT Championship game. Hopefully the Huskies don't look past LSU.
15. Michigan (13)
2-0
Looking forward to see what Manny Harris can do at the Old Spice Classic this week.
16. Minnesota (NR)
3-0
Big week ahead for the Gophers as they travel to Anaheim for the 76 Classic…keep your eyes on highly talented frosh Rodney Williams.

The Next Five: Vanderbilt, Louisville, Ohio State, Georgetown, Ole Miss

Falling Out: California (11), Oklahoma (15), Ohio State (9)
