Disagreements
Points are irrelevant to me...
But I agree with you 100%, I can feel like I made a great point, a great argument, a great statement, and when I look, I got a couple of negatives, but no reaction....if you disagree then state your argument and have others weigh in...its kind of like guys say "WRONG!...Minus ONE!" and then they;re done.
But like the first thing I said, points have absolutely no value...i'd trade all my points for a shiny penny right now
Yea. This isnt a post about points. Its a post about people who have no business on the site. If they want to disagree, thats fine. I disagree with people all the time. I just want people to step up and tell me why they disagree. That is what the forum is here for. To talk basketball, not talk points...
Look. I dont want the points, I appreciate it because it is a good gage to see what people think about your statement and see who agree's with ya. What I want is an explaination for the reason I got a negative point. Like I said before, I dont care about the points.

I was actually thinking about this last night. After I made a comment on the "Mayo or Gay" topic, I received -2 points right off the bat. No comments followed it. It's like some people on this site really don't understand that there are two sides to an argument, and that's something I learned in elementary school. I could see taking someone's points away for immaturity (name calling), but not because somebody states their opinion.

Hey guys. Unfortunatly I am going to have to leave the site due to a job. I just recieved a phone call telling me that I have been hired to be an editor for ESPN!! That is good and bad news. Supposedly they will check the major sites for my profile. I could be fined and even lose my position for having a profile. I hope wasn't a newsance and provided some quality conversations. NBADraft.net takes away the ability to administer points if you have been found to be irresponsible with your other internet privileges. The only way to get your post-point ability back is to confess all your wrong doings to an "Official Licensed Internet Admin", or an OLIA. It just so happens I got my OLIA license two weeks ago.

Look. I just looked at the "My points" section of the page and saw that I had 4 straight negative points. Im not a points freak or anything so that isnt my beef. I am irritated that after I have negative points for my comments, there is no counter arguement to my statement. That is annoying. I would like to talk basketball with people and that means that we often disagree. That fine. Everyone has thier own opinion. I would just like a reason for the negative. I often find that someone disagrees with me with no reason or proof for disagreeing. Like recently I suggested that the Cavs throw everything at Jamison becaue he is the type of player that Lebron has needed his entire career and I got a negative with no reasoning. Its frustrating. Who out there is also annoyed with this? I feel like if someone dishes out a negative, they should have to give a reason for it. I dont even care about who it is. They could choose to show who they are or keep it a secret. Does anyone else feel the same way??
