Does anybody remember this guy? He was a Great athlete with good game he couldnt stay out of trouble or put it all together tho. I really liked this guy and wanted the lakers to draft him and pair him with kobe but he went to the DAMMN JailBlazers and the rest is history. I the right situation what do you think this guy could have been? Does anybody know what he does now besides smoke lots of weed?
Reminds me of Gerald Green with alot more problems
i think qyntel woods took advantage of when scouts would drool over tall wings and 7' european small forwards. he probably was a workout wizard since he was 6-8 and had good quickness and speed for his size, but i don't think his jumper was ever there and a lot of his juco stats were padded because it was juco. kedrick brown was the same example. juco stats and super athelete, but couldn't hit a jumper in the nba.
i think qyntel is playing ball in europe. not sure if he's smoking a lot of weed, however.
yeah he over in europe...no matter what situation he woul dhave been in he woul dhave found trouble..that just who he is..hes already gotten into trouble a couple of times in europe... he is his own worst enemy
he's in poland putting up 17 and 6 reb a game...
he could have been pretty good if his head was on right
He wasn't near the athlete Gerald Green is. He was just a tall sf who could handle, shoot and move well. He benefitted from hype and coming out at the time he did. Point blank, he just wasn't an NBA caliber player, even if he was a saint. The fact that he's a knucklehead just got him out of the L a little quicker. He's alot like Rodney White in that he had alot of potential but not alot of skill, and after he started cashing those fat NBA checks he didn't care to work on his game. It actually happens quite often.
there are alot of guys in the nba who shouldnt be there then because they put up worst stats and do less in the nba then he did..and rodney white had skill he just couldnt be consistant with it...im a lil bias though because hes a former aau teammate..but i recall him dropping 24 one night and he did average 9ppg one season which you have to have skill to do
I didn't say no skill. Both those guys had a lot of potential but not alot of skill. That should be pretty obvious. If they had alot of skill they would've been given more time. Eddie Robinson averaged damn near 9 a game one year with the Bulls, and I doubt anyone here would call him "skilled". The facts are if you're in the NBA you have skill. But, the game is played at such a high level that you either have to have one definite skill [Shooting, passing, D, athleticism, scoring, etc...] that allows you to stand out or a conglomorate of skills. The guys who have one are role players. The guys that have a couple are producers, and the guys that have most if not all are eventual legends. The guys who are out of the league in a few years are kids with alot of potential who never develop their skills. Woods, White, Robinson, Tskitischvilli, etc... Potential doesn't produce results.
I used to tink Eddie Robinson was going to be good, he was a good dunker. Then he just went ghost and was never talked about again
I was a huge fan. He could handle the ball, shoot it, rebound and pass, and was a pretty smooth athlete. He actually had a pretty good season with the Knicks one year with Larry Brown, but that was it for him. It's too bad to, if he landed on the right team he maybe could've been something. The Jailblazers were just a wreck then and destroyed a bunch of solid players. God damn, the dude had soooo much hype coming into the draft and then he admitted he had smoked week like right before the draft and fell to 21, when the guy was rated as a potential top 5 pick. Poor guy
dont smoke weed its as simple as that
what are you talking about okeke? i've seen you smoking some fat joints
jealousy is a female's trait, that's all i have to say
