VERY dissapointed but not suprised that yet another quick pg does whatever he wants against the lake show. the rockets defense was also very good and caused kobe to have a bad shooting night..artet played pretty well and of course bynum played like a future allstar. aron brooks dominated and david anderon played pretty well...as well as shannon brown...i respect phil jackson but he needs to have fisher come off the bench..his shot only falls sometimes and his his defense against bigger guards is no longer a factor. its ntime to start brown
I agree, I love the Lakers and D-Fish, but Fisher needs to come off the bench badly. He gets absolutley abused by the quick point guards in the league today. His shot is also becoming super streaky. Let Brown start, the guy plays great defense, is strong, a great athlete, and a reliable jump shooter who wont take away touches from Kobe, Pau, or Bynum
D. Fish is great leader and needs to be out there (at least to start the game). Then bring in Brown off the bench to play significant minutes. Don't know if D. Fish needs to come off the bench. Just play less meaningful minutes... The problem is Jordan Farmar, he hasn't progressed at all. I just feel like he has no rythmn with the team and sometimes don't kow what to do. He's need to take some of that defensive burden off Brown too... That damn bench man... Sasha sucks, Jordan, Luke, and I saw freaking Josh Powell shoot a 3 pointer... Terrible!!!
According to Quincey Hodges, the Lakers bench is "one of the deepest in the league" though... LAUGHABLE.
Little Rock is most def on the decline, but it wouldn't make any sense to bring him off of the bench, especially at this point in his career. He should continue to at least start & end games. Like it was said above, he's still a great leader... PLUS he has the respect/trust of Kobe. I just think Phil should lower his mins from the 27-28 he's playing now to around 20-24. The bulk of his mins should vary based on the situation during quarters 1-3, but he should def be on the floor to end games in the 4th.
What they need is better pg play off the bench. Brown is solid, especially on D, but Farmar is playing majority of the backup mins at point & he's playing terrible at both ends. He isn't shooting nor defending well, plus the offense just doesn't flow well when he's in the game. I really think Phil would play Brown ALL of the backup mins at point, but because Vujacic is a bum, he needs Brown to also backup Kobe for 10 mins while he rests.
i agree tuck he prob should start and then let brown play most of the minutes.. but phil doesnt seem to see it that way...as long as we keep winning titles and beating teams in the playoffs then i guess i can live with it. if we ever lose because of it though in the playoffs then there will be a problem..lol
"never argue with fools because people from a distance cant tell who is who"
any one remeber this quote?
"Bynum's offensive skill set is the only thing I'd say Oden's not on his level with. Bynum is averaging 20.3 points in 30.2 minutes per game during the pre-season. It's safe to say he won't average 20.3 points this season. Not with Pau, Odom and Artest playing more minutes and getting their shots. Bynum probably won't average over 30 minutes per game. I can almost guarantee you that Oden's numbers will go up once the season starts. He's going to play more than 22 minutes per game. He and Bynum will have very similar numbers this season".
"I'm sticking to my prediction that Oden's numbers will go up from the pre-season, especially his rebounds and blocks. He's averaging 9.7 rebounds and 1.3 blocks in only 22.3 minutes per game. Bynum is playing 30.3 minutes a game (which is the max he'll average in the regular season"
"Oden is going to play more than 22.3 minutes per game when the season starts and as I said above... He's done his damage during the pre-season with Roy and Aldridge on the floor. Why wouldn't his numbers go up? Oden will at least play 30 minutes per game during the regular season. I'm predicting averages of 14.5-15 points, 10.5-11 rebounds and 2-2.5 blocks per game."
If they had an explosive PG that wold be great.. Kinda like Brooks.
Farmar is pretty explosive, but he's not a good fit for LA.
lol..that was funny..i dont see nothing wrong wit it..no different then players wrapping there arm around someone while falling to try to pick up the foul..lol..when my brother was playing wit the lakers in the preseason years ago he said some of the star centers/pf would do a move called the ballbuster when a guy would post them up..you can imagin what that is
like what reggie evans did to chris kaman a few years back in the playoffs?
The way Ariza looks at Artest after he threw his shoe is priceless.
