How Much Worse Could They Get?
The New Orleans Hornets got beaten by the Knicks, they are having a losing streak, they fired coach Scott and now, Chris Paul goes down with an ankle sprain... Boy, how much more will these team take? Reminds me a lot of the 2007-08 Chicago Bulls where nothing just went right for them, Scott Skiles got fired and they end up missing the playoffs... Let's hope they will be able to find the rhythm... but it's pretty clear that they have a very huge hole at the two-spot that they weren't able to address during the offseason and it's bringing them miserable...
Also, pre-season they thought they were sitting pretty good at the 3 with Peja and Julian Wright. As of now, another huge whole at the 3 spot too.
Yep... Julian Wright should have busted out this year but he looks lost in the system and acts like what Tyson Chandler is doing now with the Bobcats... In my mind, Julian Wright will always be remembered as the player that embarasses himself by trying to dunk a windmill but failed to do so while at Kansas...LOL... UNLESS, he comes in and plays the way Boris Diaw does which is still an impossible mountain to climb...
You think they're bad, look at the clippers.
2007-2008: 23-59; injuries - livingston (season/career), elton brand (missed 74 games), chris kaman (26 games missed) - DUNLEAVY = COACH
2008-2009: 19-63; injuries - baron (missed 17 games), kaman (missed 51 games), camby (missed 20 games), randolph (missed 32 games) - DUNLEAVY COACH
2009-2010: 3-7; injuries - griffin (6 weeks), gordon (at least 6 games) - DUNLEAVY COACH.
how can a coach with a 45-12 record over two seasons and 10 games still be the coach. the clippers got destroyed by the hornets who just fired their coach. what the hell is wrong with donald sterling?
