i see they signed marshall and bullock..only seen marshall play once and was impressed..seen bullock play a couple of times and was very very impressed

Why would it matter if you cannot showcase your skills to the max if your gonna be taught by one of the best teachers in the NCAA

I think he was a good fit for Duke or UNC...he's one of those players that can fit in just about any system in some way or another. That's apart of what makes him good.

because thats the top reasons recruits go to schools for the most part..the coachs have something to do with it but showcasing youre talent is the most importantr..and yeah coach k is good but you say that like roy williams isnt a hall of fame coach as well

Because Duke's high academic standards, they wont be getting too many players in the era of One and Done players. If Duke lowered it standards...I think they get more recruits

i disagree because duke tries to get one and done players and some do have the grades to go but they just arnt that interested in duke. they are more interested in a team that will showcase there nba skills and run up and down . yeah duke still gets all americans but they get certain kinds..they usually dont get that go hard type player or players from low income families even ones that have good grades...and i do think coach k is a very good coach but i also think hes a lil overrated because he gets the best of the best talent year in and year out and should be winning more titles then he actually has...but thats just my opinion. i actually liek a coach liek a gary williams( a lil biased cuz im a maryland fan) because he doesnt more with less talent

Come on man....thats BS. Duke is at this level, getting basically a couple good players every year. Some years he may get 2 HS all americans but for the most part...he gets one good guy a year and alot of them have dissapointed, left or never came

last year..henderson,paulus,elliot williams..year before taylor king demarcuss nelson, year before josh mcroberts...thats 14 allamericans since the 2006-2007 season

come on man. If anything, he is underrated. Those guys are good but not on the level of the recent levels of talents.

Duke was usually built on 2-3 year players anyway. It's tough to keep those guys nowadays and even when they come over and show a great level of ability...they leave.

yeah but all americans all the same..thats why i say he should be doing more with the talent he gets...there have been teams with less talent that go farther..these guys on dukes team still go to the nba or overseas and play pretty well..while some of the other teams players dont play much after....so really think abou tit..the players are hs allamericans before they get to duke..dont do real well whil ethere but after they leave they make it to the nba or play very well over in europe

yeah thats my team..i think gary is underrated with what he does with the talent he brings in. he gets the best out of everyone. although hes not the best recruiter because he still recruits old school style but that is changing now and it shows with the recruits he has comming in next year and some this year

i think duke will continue to underachive as long as they keep missin gout on a power big man..they get good foards and guards liek its nothing but they seem to just get soft big men lately

I think coach k is one of the best to ever coach but with all those players you named for duke that is still not enough to keep up with with the teams unc and mephis and kansas and kentucky are putting together even last year duke played carolina good but i knew that henderson and singler and scheyer were not going to be able to beat teams of that caliber in the dance they dont have it like you said he gets certain kind of all americans paulus and mcroberts come on i never thought paulus would be a top college point guard look at who has went to the nba at that position while he was at duke they could not compete rose westbrook flynn even conley duke is not getting the premiere recruit no more they are geting the good recruit big difference

yeah its not enough to keep up with those team if they play head to head because those team have tough big men and tough fowards/guards..but the thing i thats the the teams duke lose to come tournament time..they dont get far enough to face those teams

duke makes a high level player basic....he can't do what he normally does b/c of their TOTAL team ball style

he was an absolute stud coming out of high school...played the 2 and 3 and did it ALL
now at duke he plays the 4! that's outrageous...you've made him boring and not anywhere near as attractive a player as he was in HS
you have to go to a school that allows you to showcase your total ability but still win at a high level....and to be honest...duke has done neither for quite some time now

You can't have your PG and your Best Big Man non-athletic (or politically incorrect WHITE)... You won't go far, can't think of the last tandem that did well? And don't say Kirk and Nick because Kirk played the 2... I'm sorry if some of you are offended but its the truth in B-Ball nowadays... I love the way Coach K coaches and get the maximum team effort out of players BUT individual skills and talent doesn't ooze from that program... Its like everyone is on a leash and only certain players are set free... Jay Williams was one and J.J. might have been the other... North Carolina has a coach with 2 Championships under his belt in the past 5 years AND with first round draft picks doing good in the NBA... With the Greatest Player to every play, playing at that school? UNC would have been the safest bet a great player can make... And its not a knock on the Duke program at all... I have ties to that program BUT UNC is the place you would want to go to maximize your oppurtunities... Hands down...
