Random Thoughts: Point Guards

I will feature my random thoughts and I want you guys to share yours also... This thread is all about what's going in the NBA so far... We'll feature first the PGs.

Brandon Jennings is a stud. He has been very impressive byfar including his debut with a near-triple double... If he keeps it up, he could win the ROY easily...

Russell Westbrook keeps on improving his game but then again his turnovers are still there. I recall the game where he was doing well with 23 points but he also had 9 ridiculous turnovers... He still has a lot of work to do... Great game last night against the Rockets...

Derrick Rose, when are you going to be 100% OK? He's playing in pain but he's doing a solid job for the Bulls so far...

Chris Paul looks unhappy right now... He is still passionate of winning but he's team isn't cooperating... I could see it in his face that he's carrying his team all by himself... That incident with Rajon Rondo was somewhat shocking to me... If the Hornets cannot give their main guy a good supporting cast, NO and the fans will be hearing from CP3 something that they'd never thought they'll hear.

Jose Calderon is doing a stellar job with the Raptors offense. He has remained consistent byfar.

Rajon Rondo's job is easier to look at now than Paul... why? He got 4 people to feed in the court... The Big 3 and Rasheed can make his work easier and smoother.

Deron Williams had a good game against the Spurs and needs to produce more if he wants the Jazz to win consistently..

B-Diddy, you're not worth what the Clips are paying you for... Underperforming and lack of sync to help the dying Clips.

Chris Duhon is not a starting PG and well, who would the Knicks start other than Duhon? Knicks should have taken Jennings while he's available...

Jonny Flynn is a solid guard right now along with Sessions as his back-up... But still, not the difference-maker the T'wolves can have thus the record remains the same for them.

Tony Parker is still as quick as ever on an old team...

Rodney Stuckey seems to want to score more instead of learning how to make plays ala Steve Nash or Kidd... Considering a Pistons team with a lot of scorers... Someone has to adjust and I thought Stuckey could have done that.

J-Kidd, I hope he can have at least 2 or 3 triple-doubles this season... In NJ, he could do so much. But in Dallas, not anymore...

Steve Nash is looking to get back into his 2005 and 2006 form and he's leading the Suns better than what I expected from him...

Mo Williams is a step slower compared to last year... Cleveland is too...

Chauncey Billups is still Mr. Big Shot...

Lou Williams is doing a solid job at the Sixers, if he keeps this up, they can very well forget who Andre Miller is/was.

Agent Zero has finally shown his old form by exploding 30 points in some of his games... Still, do you think he's worth 111 Million?

Allen Iverson... well, the Grizzlies put themselves in this position, they might as well find a way to make it work or else, the signing of this disgruntled-old-vet-who-still-thinks-its-2001 would be a waste.

Stephen Curry - Not what

Stephen Curry - Not what people thought he was goiung to be. He's been a great passer and defender and has not tried to light it up. But he is goin gto be very good.

random thoughts: Suns look a

random thoughts:

Suns look a lot better then I thought and Nash is leading the way making all the people who wrote him off look silly.

Zach Randolph has been the Grizzlies best player, too bad they are the worst defensive team in the league, because they have talent at the other end.

Subtract Jennings, and this rookie class looks pretty weak so far.

Durant does not look like the top 5 player in the league some were proclaiming before the season. He can score, but what else?

So much for the Kobe is slowing down talk. 34.5 ppg while leading the lakers without Pau to a 5-1 record.

Rodney Stuckey is looking like the franchise player for the Pistons, which says something about his high level of talent as well the relative lack there of from the rest of the team.

The Magic are absolutley loaded on offense. Andersen, Barnes, and JWill are all getting work done.

I took crap for saying beasley wouldn't go top 5 if the 2008 draft was done over. People still wanna say I'm crazy for that?

And speaking of the heat, why do i see more empty seats then fans?

The warriors are a mess.

I'd also like to add that

I'd also like to add that Tyson Chandler should come with a healthy report instead of an injury report. I automatically assume he's hurt unless I'm informed otherwise.

The Spurs are really showing their age.

Kevin Martin and Francisco Garcia need to take their broken bones to the nearest GMC and buy some protein mix.

Why don't teams play Hack -a- Chuck Hayes?

WIll rasheed take more 3's then 2's this year?

Whatever happened to the goggles? And not the new cool looking Amare Stoudemire glasses, I mean some Kareem's/Worthy's old school stuff.

IS Mo Will ever gonna look like an all-star again?

How long till the Lamar Khloe reality show begins?

Why didn't anyone ever smack Joakim Hoah when he was in school and tell him he was costing himself millions with that shooting form?

Does Chris Paul also drive the team bus and make sure all the balls are properly inflated as well? A little help please.

Why is it that Okafor is the exact same player in his 6th season that he was in his first?

Honestly... I have nothing

Honestly... I have nothing to add after reading yours lol. I literally read through each one of yours and said, "Damn, I was going to put that" every single time. Here are a few I just came up with though.

Chris Bosh is looking like a stud right now. He's playing way more aggressive, shooting less jumpers and playing closer to the basket. It's early, but I think he's surpassed Stoudemire and Boozer as power forwards.

It's early and he's working himself back from a knee injury, but Duncan looks old and like he's slowing down. The Spurs look really old in general. I think Duncan will get stronger as the season goes on, but I think he only has 1-2 good years left in the league.

Chris Kaman is one of the two bright spots on the Clippers right now. He's been tough to defend on offense and is putting up great numbers. If the Clippers can win some games, he'll be an all-star.

Anthony Randolph had a little too much hype rolling into the season. The talent and potential are there, but he's still a couple of seasons away. There was a lot of talk about him being the MIP this year. I don't see it happening. He's more Lamar Odom than Chris Bosh.

Andre Miller is a terrible fit for the Blazers. I wouldn't be surprised if he's traded as soon as he's trade eligible.

Miami will be a lot better than people thought. Nobody expected JO to be as healthy as he is. Rio has really improved and Q is giving this team more swagger. Haslem is giving 2nd unit power forwards the business.

yup, I agree with all those

yup, I agree with all those as well. I was real down on the heat all summer, but they are making me look bad right now. Miller is a good player, just not in Portland.

Miller will not be traded

Give the guy some time. I think Miller will start to gel with the line up. I really like what Portland did yesterday playing Miller/Blake/Roy.

Miller and Blake compliment each other well when they play at the same time.

More

The Hawks really appreciate/respect Jamal Crawford's game. He's playing great for them right now and should be in the running for the 6th man of the year award.

Josh Smith may have a low offensive IQ and take questionable jump shots, but one thing he can do really well is block some shots.

The Knicks are sickening to watch. They're currently down 34 to the Milwaukee bucks. The Jazz are salivating at the mouth at the thought of their upcoming draft pick.

Michael Redd needs a brand new pair of knees.

I predicted Durant would lead the NBA in scoring, but right now it looks like Melo is seriously focused on scoring at least 30 every game.

Ty Lawson is better than we all thought. His speed and quickness are elite, even on the NBA level.

The Celtics don't look their age. Until they played the Suns, they'd been suffocating and choking teams to near death on defense. KG looks like he should return to normal. Doc Rivers should get an award for actually getting something out of Shelden Williams.

Grant Hill isn't playing like a 37 year old right now.

Shaq is playing like a 37 year old right now.

Devin Harris gets injured quite a bit. He's on the shelf again. Let's hope this isn't a problem.

Coach Mike Dunleavy's face looks like the Saw Jigsaw Puppet Mask.

Anthony Randolph looks like a younger version of Sanford from Sanford and Son.

mine

Iverson is has-been... It would be tragic to see him getting voted by fans again in the All-Star Game whereas Chris Paul goes to the reserve... It will make me sick to my stomach...

Joakim Noah is giving Tyson Chandler a run for his money... LOL (Noah's comparison here was tyson Chandler (with higher basketball IQ)... A slap in the face for TC..lol

Does anybody know who Brendan Haywood got compared to? (I know, I'm just wondering if anybody knows)

Tezo, you're damn right about Shelden Williams... cant say much about that...

Mike Miller looks like a WNBA player now...

The OKC Thunder uniform and logo looks like WNBA Stuff...LOL

DeAndre Jordan plays good during garbage time...LOL

The Knicks are struggling as hell.. The more the Knicks lose the more Jazz fans are rubbing their hands for having a shot at a top 5 pick...

I know the post is about PGs but....

Why is Marreese Speights playing only 22 mins a game? Brand (29mpg 11ppg 5.6rpg) and Dalembert (25pmg 7ppg 6rpg) are underacheiving, and when Speights logs minutes he PRODUCES! And unlike everybody else's favorite under-utilized PF (mr anthony randolph) he is shooting 61% from the field with a post game and a nice mid range jumper. My head hurts trying to make sense of this LOL

He has the potential to be a

He has the potential to be a GREAT power forward in the league! He's efficient obviously with what little minutes he gets, he is very athletic, has a decent jumper, soft touch around the rim, and shots above 80% from the free throw line at a legit 6'10 240. my question to you is this perez.......speights or horford in 3 years?

Andre Iguodala and Jeff

Andre Iguodala and Jeff Green are the two most underrated players in basketball.

Kevin Durant is an elite scorer, probably one of the top 5 in basketball. But in terms of being a top 5 player? Hell naw! haha

Thaddeus Young will be better than Andre Iguodala? Not at all. He's looked very mediocre now that teams focus on him more. He's going to be a good #3 option in the future, like I've said the whole time. Not the #1 option alot of y'all said he'd be.

Brandon Jennings is going to be a top 5 PG in the NBA by his 3rd year. Put money on that.

Now that Mark Madsen's out of basketball for good (!)....DJ Mbenga is the worst player in basketball. He literally gets a standing ovation, in home and away games, when he makes a basket. lol.

Jamal Crawford will be the 6th man of the Year.

The Knicks should run their offense through Gallinari. He can't be too much worse a 1st option than Harrington.

Brook Lopez is better than I gave him credit for, and he's not as stiff as I thought. He's a future All-Star. That was for Quincey Hodges. Eat your heart out bro. lol

Terrence Williams is sooo much better than CDR, Courtney Lee and Bobby Simmons. He's Andre Iguodala 2.0.

Russell Westbrook is the most overrated player in the NBA by the users of this website.

TRADE NICK YOUNG!! And Dominic McGuire!!

Deron Williams is once again starting off the season slow. Remember Derron, the All-Star game is played BEFORE the 2nd half of the season.

Dahntay Jones and Trevor Ariza has surprised the hell outta me so far this season. Didn't know they had the ability to score that they've shown this season.

Travis Outlaw could very well be the worst defensive player in the NBA who plays "valuable" minutes.

Dunleavy and Don Nelson should be fired immediately.

Thaddeus Young:#3 option in

Thaddeus Young:#3 option in the future
Andre Iguodala: #2 option in the future
#1: Rondo types that can slash and kick and push the tempo

thats just how the team is built, im gonna upload a Thaddeus Young fast break video vs the Bucks
http://www.youtube.com/user/CCOkeke<< new channel

deadly fast break especially if Thaddeus learns to dribble in tranistion and get fouled like Melo
(they're the EXACT same height u know)
