Good article by Ian Thomsen and it notes out several factors as to why James is staying...

DOUBT IT

I don't believe LeBron's going to stay. I know there are some believers that say he's not leaving, but the truth is he probably will. Even last night on the Knicks-Cavs game, Avery Johnson picked him going to New Jersey.

people dont talk about it

people dont talk about it but the heat have a pretty good chance of landing him as well...all i know is the knicks chances are slim to none..they talked about that during the game saying what i already believed...if he wants to win a champonship then he isnt coming to ny because the team they have isnt close to winning a title

True Knicks aren't close but

True Knicks aren't close but you add LeBron and guys who will come because of him & they'll have a better shot than the Cavs. They have no one who really makes other guys better LeBron does that and Duhon probly won't be on the team which is a blessing in itself. Also the following year their rid of Jeffries & Curry thats like 18 mill too.

The Miami Heat thing is a recent rumor but doubtful he plays with Wade since both dominate the ball in the 4th qtr.
Jay-z only has part ownership in the Nets who knows whats going on with their, I think they have to move for LeBron to even consider New Jersey. He's not leaving a small market team for another one especially in NJ might as well just stay in Cleveland.

I think Lebron ends up

I think Lebron ends up staying but I change my mind on that all the time. It's not like the cavs have some great roster that the knicks couldn't easily duplicate with some wise spending. Plus not only would he get to play in the spotlight, he would be given credit for turning it all around in the biggest market. That might appeal to him. But the knicks would have some serious overhauling of the roster to do. If the Nets were in the bronx right now, that might be his place of destination. But 2-3 years in the Swamp Land probably doesn't sound too appealing to lebron. Hard to see him and wade sharing the ball in the 4th quarter like someone else said. Don't think as much as they want to win that ego's will also come into play.

im tired of hearing this if

im tired of hearing this if he wants to win he wont come to new york nonsense. People completely forget how miserable of a franchise the cavs were before they won the lotto, or how bad the celts were before they added some stars. Reality is in about 2011 shaq and big z will be retired, the cavs have no young talent because all their picks have been in the late 20s. Outside of mo williams and possibly delonte west who else is decent thats going to be effective in a year on that team? parker? moon? they look like nba players only because they get open looks and they still stink.
The two scenarios for him if he comes to ny or goes to the cavs is...
in ny he gets a young supporting cast in gallo, chandler, hill, douglas, lee and cap space for another free agent in 2011...melo anyone?
in cleveland he gets mo williams, west, jj hickson and eyenuga or w/e with cap space.
Except where do you think the cap space is more valuable if you already have lebron? OBVIOUSLY new york.

I know people love to bash ny but what you forget is they changed their management and teams go through cycles. Just because u stink one day doesnt mean u will the next. so stop with this he will never win in ny nonsense the cavs without lebron win about 20 games.
for whoever watched the game last night you would see how single handedly lebron abused the knicks and had he not been in the game knicks would easily win.

knicks have a much better and likeable coach and if he ever comes there you can guarantee that in 2011 (if they cant trade curry or jeffries) some big star will come join as well. By then gallo (who is proving his worth) will be fully developed to be option 2a or an amazing option 3, david lee will keep getting double doubles and chandler will be solid, jordan hill who is by far a better prospect than anyone the cavs have will hopefully play up to his potential.
While the cavs will have every decent contributor retired and noone will want to go to their &$#%#&@! city with lebron gone, leading them into being miserable like they were until they win the lottery again.

im not saying lebron is

im not saying lebron is coming as i actually think he wont but not because he can't win here but because cleveland is his home. But if he does decide to leave there is no better destination than new york. you cant go based on past years and say just because they struggled before they will always struggle thats just dumb.

it just amazes me how dumb

it just amazes me how dumb people are as sports fans, they listen to these stupid analysts who get paid to say dumb &$#%#&@! and think they understand sports. let me break this down for you...
cavs were one of the worst teams in the nba winning 17 games, hence they got the first pick. suddenly they become playoff contenders almost overnight, but wait lets think about this what has the management done to change the roster other than the addition of lebron? The only player worth mentioning is mo williams and they were winning 50 games before he even got there. So how does suddenly their supporting cast which has barely changed from the 17 win season is so unbelievable and built for a championship run? dont tell me delonte west and varejao were the players that took them over the top. Point is Lebron will make the playoffs with the d league all stars.
