chris paul is being wasted
on the hornets. i just feel like this team is not going anywhere. chris paul is the hornets ticket to money, success, and everything else. but i feel like hes giving his all everynight on a team where no one else exclude west. is playing like they should. i think paul needs to be on a team that wants to win. and with the hornets fiancial problems they wont be able to build around paul good enough. so heres the teams i feel paul could do well on.
1.new york- uptemp system, big city lights, msg, good young talent to work with.
2.heat-imagine wade and paul. that &$#%#&@! would be crazy.
3.hawks- they could trade williams , bibby or teague a first round to get him
4.bobcats-i know they are in the same boat with the hornets with financial problems. but jordan and brown and paul sounds like a good relationship that could turn into a nice long marriage.
5.pistons-dumars is a mastermind who could pull anything off
6.clippers-its LA cant go wrong with that
7.blazers-it could happen

So you're saying that Paul's talent is being wasted on the hornets because he doesn't have enough help and you think there are other teams he could help? Hey everyone, Captain Obvious is here!
i have to cross at leat the Pistons and Bobcats off that list they have goo young points guards and arent going anywhere. Blazers would be good but they wont have the cap room. i dont like thos teas really i think Paul Wade and Lebron an Maimi is good dont they have like no signed salaries get them and then get veterans to sign for cheap to win and they could be dangerous.
He keeps getting better but besides West he has no help. No way they trade Paul unless they get back top picks and can dump other contracts too. Paul is too nice a guy seems like he's giving them time but I agree he's wasted on the Hornets.
Pistons don't have the pieces to get it done. Dumars isn't creative he got lucky with trades of both Wallaces & Rip.
looking at recent history i think the wolves might want to trade al jefferson for paul
That fool Kahn does love Point guards.
Grizzlies could trade Mayo or Rudy Gay + 1st round pick for Paul sooner or later. Grizzlies are too ridiculous to make a reasonable move though.
You can't help but feel sorry for this guy. He's been putting up some tremendous numbers, but his team just isn't good enough to compete in the West. 21 points, 7 rebounds, 18 assists and 1 turnover against the Raptors, yet they still lost by 17. 32 points, 13 assists and 2 turnovers against the Knicks, yet they still lost. That looks like a trend that could go on all season.
Anthony Morrow, Nick Young and Kelenna Azubuike look like some guys who could help Chris Paul on the perimeter. Marcus Thornton could be good, but he's not ready yet. Stephen Jackson seems like the best option, but is also a bit of a stretch. If they don't trade for one of them, they their only hope of getting a scoring wing by next season is if Willie Warren or Devin Ebanks are available when they pick. The only question is: who would they give up for Morrow/Young/Azubuike?
cross the knicks off the list also....and la you cant go wrong wit that??..lol..wit the clippers you cant go right
Should request a trade in the off season if they don't go get him some help. Okafor is an upgrade on Chandler, but he needs too create for every player on that team, Peja too, He needs a scorer who can handle the scoring load so he can do what he does best dish it out. Paul has to score too much and it's not how he likes to play. He can do it, but not his game.
yup.... 18 assists with only 1 turn over? wow.
whenever I said I'd take Billups over Paul, i was smoking something foul....
Trading is probably the answer, so don't hate me for this, but a team that needs a PG is--The lakers--. They could probably aquire Paul for Odom & some picks. Giving the Lakers their PG and younger talent.
if teams did this then you would have to to have ome teams fold. because there are always gonna be teams with very good players who arent that good and you cant just trade them all. i dont think hes wasting away..they over achieved the year they were o good and then came back to earth..not sure how hes wasting away on a playoff team
Why would the Horents want the Lakers picks which might be the 30th for Paul, Odom is a PF they already have West. So now the Lakers have Paul, Kobe, Artest, Gasol, Bynum can they can get Marion for Morrison and Vujacic too. If they move Paul they want quality picks back that means lottery and probably get rid of some big contracts. Does an end of the 1st rounder plus 7.5 mill trade for a 13 mill contract even work as a trade?
Damn right! A 30th pick for Paul isn't going to cut it for a Hornets team unless the draft is very very deep to land a Kobesque type of player at 30 which is near impossible...
I feel for CP3... He's a guy that always have that will to win but for some reasons, the Hornets doesn't seem to build that kind of situation around him... I hear y'all and I all agree with it... 21 pts and 18 asts with1 TO? That's crazy... Then to lose to the Knicks, boy, CP3 was fuming inside... Okafor is a better player than Chandler who likes to limp around with his knee than play basketball... David West has been a good compliment for CP3... The one they lack clearly is a legit 2 guard... Who they got? Mo-Pete? A declining player that needs to hang up his jersey next season... Devin Brown? LOL... They need a good SG since they gave up Rasual Butler for a pack of nuts... Chris Paul has done it all... The least they could do is give the guy a team filled with winners... if they fail to do that, they'll hear something from Chris that they thought they'll never hear... A trade demand...
Chris Paul in ATL would be RIDICULOUS! Yea the trade would be like thetruth said: Marvin Williams, Jeff Teague and probably the Hawks 1st round picks for 2 years.
lol..there will never be a 30th pick worth chris paul..maybe a 40 year old chris paul
if you add Paul to the Hawks, then those 2 fisrt rounders wouldn't be worth much more then the Lakers first rounders. So basically what you get is Marvin WIllimas and Teague for Chris Paul, and the Hornets would be more garbage then ever. You guys act like throwing a bunch of names makes it equal somehow to landing a top 5 player and mvp candidate. Guys like Marvin WIlliams can easiyt be had in the free agent market. Franchise players who are still young and entering their prime don't come around too often.
But adding Marvin Williams and Teague would patch up some of their weaknesses. Williams can't be had that easily as he has a midlevel deal that goes into 2012 if I'm not mistaken and Teague will be an emerging young PG who, while likely to never be better than Paul, would give them a very above average PG who can score with the best PG's in basketball, and still be serviceable setting up guys. I think it's a good trade for both teams, especially when you add two 1st rounders in the equation for good measure. The position of the 1st round picks they would give up really wouldn't make or break the trade when you have emerging young players involved in the trade. It's like adding on to the trade, "sweetening the pot" if you will....
that would be horrible for the hornets and im pretty sure they wouldnt even think about adding williams and teauge..that woul dmake them alot worst and truth be told they arent as bad as some of ya'll are making them out to be...the trade would never happen unless we are talking about nba2k10 and thats if you are able to override the trades..lol
It's really difficult to trade Paul and get equal or close to equal value, if not impossible. How about this trade to get him some help:
James Posey and Ike Diogu for Mike James and Nick Young?
