Tyler Hansbrough

Tyler has played 12 minutes and shot 10 free throws!

3-7 fg's - 5 rebounds - 1 assist - 0 turnovers

This guy just has a knack of going to the free throw line. Hope he can stay healthy and has no problems with his shin.

Finished with

Finished with 13 points, 5 rebounds, 1 assist and 0 turnovers! In 12 minutes of action

I think Tyler has the skill set to average 15 points and 7 rebounds a game. Will never be an all-star, but a glue guy that helps your team win.

Danny Granger of the Indiana Pacers has blog going and made this quote about Tyler.

"THE ROOKIES

We've got Tyler Hansbrough, aka "Psycho T," aka "T-Bone." We've got a bunch of names for Tyler. He's like a linebacker that's playing basketball. Man, that dude is beyond intense! In practice, I'm not trying to drive in his direction. I'm not trying to take a charge on him. Otherwise, I might be out for two or three weeks!

He's one of those players that, when the ball goes up on the rim, I'm glad he's on our team. He might hurt somebody on our team too. You never know, but that's just the intensity that he plays with, which is what we need.

We've got him getting bagels every morning, getting the newspaper. He and A.J. Price, I've got them doing little things. For the plane, they've got to get food for everybody. They've got to carry stuff after the game. Typical rookie stuff. But for the most part, our rookies really don't give us no trouble and we all get along with each other. They're rookies, but we don't try to belittle them or nothing like that."

I actually hated him at NC, but he's one of my favorites now. Seeing all that he's did at NC, if that translated in the NBA he would be a superstar not to mention he's getting some money like on the AT&T commercial.

im another who didnt liek

im another who didnt liek him at first but the more i watched and saw how hard he worked the more i figured hus game could translate into the nba..maybe not on the same level as college but could be a very very good nba starter..i think he has the potenial to be like david lee as far as his ceiling but even if he doesnt reach that i think he will be a very good pro

in college, I didn't see

in college, I didn't see tyler translating well to the nba and thought he would be a late first rounder. But as the draft was getting closer I realized that you just couldn't find 15 better players then this guy. He does all the little things and plays the right way. I had to laugh at the people who were saying Bird only drafted him because he is white. He showed in the Orlando summer league that his offense was nice as well scoring 20ppg and hitting 3's even. He'll make his impact felt immediately, although I still don't think his ceiling is all that high compared to other lottery picks.
