I told you so

I was saying b4 the season started that jennings was a way better talent than tyreke evans and it wasnt close i even said evans would struggle to score because he cant shoot and i got killed. I know evans had one good scoring game but he has struggled. I also said westbrook was better than rose and got killed for that and the thunder look like they will compete for a playoff spot and hes playing great and rose is getting dominated by a rookie its early and people will say give them a chance and they will get better but act like the other players wont get any better. I also said oden wouldnt break out and he is putting up the same numbers as prysbilla. i said he will never be dominant and i cant see any improvements since last year this year hes fouling more and scoring less, but rebounding better.

It's been less than ten

It's been less than ten games Beanz lol. Give it until the mid-point of the season.

You do realize that Rose missed majority of training camp, pre-season, etc with an ankle injury, right? He's playing his way into shape and his ankle isn't even 100% yet. Jennings outplayed him, but it was Rose who I saw block Jennings' game winning shot attempt and walk away with the victory.

I agree, I'm not a big Evans

I agree, I'm not a big Evans guy but I did say he'd lead all rookies in scoring because of the Kings lack of scorers. He could very well turn it around so I won't say I'm wrong yet. But I will say that I've always thought Jennings was better, and despite saying Evans lead rookies in scoring, I also said Jennings would be Rookie of The Year numerous times. I'm not shocked at how great he's been playing at all.

Now Russell Westbrook on the other hand is not as good as Rose. Not at all, it's not even close. Westbrook is not a pure PG, and he's is very turnover prone. He has potential and rare athleticism, but in terms of being a better player than Rose? He's not even on that level.

I don't understand... There

I don't understand... There aren't too many logical people on this site. How can you ignore the fact that Rose missed all of training camp, pre-season and even practices with an ankle injury? It wasn't a regular sprain either. It was severe. They didn't even know if he'd play the first game of the season and the Bulls have been monitoring his minutes. You seriously don't think that Rose is playing himself into shape right now? He's not 100% and that's a fact, not an excuse.

I'll give Jennings credit for outplaying Rose, but you can expect a much greater battle when Rose is 100% healthy and in game shape.

Why wait until the mid-season? Are you joking by asking this question? Players get better as the season goes. They get used to their teammates, get into better game shape, get over nagging injuries, gain more experience, etc. If you would've judged Eric Gordon by the first ten games last season, you would've said he was a bust. He then turned around and led all rookies in scoring the second half of the season. You can't judge players based on less than ten games. That's common sense.

I saw Westbrook get forced

I saw Westbrook get forced into 7-9 turnovers by STEVE BLAKE when OKC played Portland. Westbrook is turnover proned and still can't really shoot. He's still shooting a low field goal percentage and out of control, BUT... It's been less than ten games. He SHOULD get better as the season goes along.

He's been a disappointment

He's been a disappointment to me so far. I predicted him to be Most Improved and a possible All-Star, hope he gets it together. I think he can be really good..

Well... You said Oden hasn't

Well... You said Oden hasn't improved, but then you turned around and said he's rebounding better than last season. That's an improvement. He's also blocking more shots than he did last year.

I'm disappointed in Oden's start. I thought he'd be better offensively and not as foul prone. He's more foul proned than he was last year. He picks up silly fouls and fouls from just being too aggressive. It looks like he expects to pick up cheap fouls now.

He's been sloppy, impatient and lacked confidence on offense. That's why he has been turning the ball over. He has A LOT of work to do offensively. Right now, he's only a power player with below average footwork for a big man. His IQ is low. I also think he can get in better shape. He breathes heavy a lot. I've watched every Portland game and he just looks sloppy and is reacting slow.

I expect him to get better as the season goes along. When he's been on the floor he's been pretty effective rebounding and blocking shots. If he wasn't so foul proned, he'd probably be averaging 10 points, 12 rebounds and 3-4 blocks. Problem is he can't stay on the floor for more than five minutes at a time without getting in foul trouble. I really think he's going to be great... It's just going to take more time than I thought.

I agree, he is looking poor

I agree, he is looking poor offensively for a 1st overall pick and he tries to literally block EVERYTHING into the stands. It's a double edged sword because it's good that he's aggressive defensively, but he's easy to fake out and get into foul trouble with that same aggressiveness. He has to pick and choose and just settle for contesting instead of always trying to block it.

rose will tell you he was at

rose will tell you he was at least 90 percent..most players are playing hurt jennings said hes still not 100 from his last injury..like the coaches and old school players say if you are healthy enouh to get out there and play then you make no excuses. you wont hear rose make an excuse youd see him give probs..as far as jennings being a tru pg he was always a tur pg hes just now a better pg...all through hs he was rated as one of the best pg in the nation reguardless of class..dont you remeber when he was playing for compton hs as a soph...already talked about as a future star and compared to kenny anderson..his court vision was great and looked to pass first because he was young and had other good players on his team yet he could still score if he had too..was a lil wild but just had to tone it up with age...was always labeled a pg..oden did improve just not as much as most of you on here thought as far as offense ..liek i said before hes still foul prone, still raw on offense, and wont be the third option on offense this year...the outrage for me saying hes not the third option on here has seemed to die down more and more each game

I'm HIGHLY disappointed in

I'm HIGHLY disappointed in Oden and y'all know I'm a big supporter. He needs to get his sh*t together. He's not playing smart and he has been sloppy. He's better than this. I wonder if he has the desire to be great. I think he does, but if he doesn't... He's NEVER going to live up to his potential. What he did in high school and college is the past... If he wants to be a great center in the NBA, he's going to have to bust his ass for it.

I give Portland some of the blame too. He's not getting better. He's still doing TOO many small things wrong that should be corrected by coaching.

Oden

There are too many centers in the league that are beter than him. He never should have been picked #1. There are two many servicable centers in the league already, and even in college he had some of the problems he now has in the nba, such as getting into fould trouble (in the games against top opponenets) and not having a high offensive skill level.

Jenning Is Tthe Truth.

No Jennings is better than Rose because he's a true point guard and he makes everybody better, and still scores more points than D Rose.

The best rookie lead guard since Chris Paul.
Should've been taken #1 IMO.

Rondo is also better than Rose right now.But Rose will eventually surpass him with time.

It's still too soon to say

It's still too soon to say he won't live up to his expectations. He's only 21 years old. He just needs to continue gaining experience and working on little things. He's too aggressive on defense and plays too close up on his opponent. He needs to increase his IQ on both ends of the floor. I really feel that he can be a dominant defender and rebounder. Offensively, it's going to take him time.

I'm disappointed, but I'm going to do like I said and remain patient with him.

Would make Oden a beast. Teaches guys to get better. Rondo,Al Jefferson,Kendrick Perkins,Glen Davis,Ryan Gomes. List goes on. Even Pierce is better

Evans

Evans has also been nursing a ankle injury and a groin issue .. and Westphal goes with a hot hand not just minutes for a rookie.. if you are not truly paying attention to details then you are missing 3/4th of the problem.

I am not giving him a excuse as I am pointing out the facts ... its been 4 frigging games Dudder get a flipping grip....

HEY TEZO..

WE LIVE IN A WORLD WHERE YOUR ONLY AS GOOD AS YOUR LAST GAME.. EVERYONE HAS A RIGHT TO VIEW IT THEIR OWN WAY. JENNINGS OWNED ROSE THAT GM. INJURIES ARE PART OF THE GAME. SAME IN ALL SPORTS, I DONT THINK IN THIS DAY AND AGE YOU CAN USE THAT AS AN EXCUSE. INJURIES ARE PART OF THE GAME, AND IF ROSE WAS NOT "READY" TO PLAY, THEN HE SHOULD NOT HAVE. ONCE HE STEPS ON THE COURT THE EXCUSES HAVE TO GO OUT THE WINDOW.

Sorry

but I disagree with almost everything..Jennings is BEAST, the Man but there is still questions who will be better this year Evans or him so to tell it;s not even close is bad thing

Westbrook better than Rose, he is close but still not as efficient scorer, not leader, not better pg IMO just better D with crazy rebounding but Rose getting better everyday, seen his block?

Oden not improving? I;m so dissapointed with his points, I still though he is 14-15ppg scorer this year BUT if they want him and a defender so take him as a defender
last year:22mpg 7rpg 1bpg
now something like:20+mpg 10rpg 2.5bpg I see an improvement

Evans or Jennings?

First, let's start with the obvious, you don't want to make a decision like this after only 4 or 5 games, that's ridiculous. Jennings has obviously played far better than anyone anticipated and that's a good sign. But it's only been a handful of games, so during the first week of November, let's not designate Jennings as the starting PG on the All Star team.

Second, I've said all along that I suspect Tyreke Evans is playing out of position as a PG. I think Sacramento should make him their SG and then his transition to the NBA might go a little smoother. Playing SG is a lot easier than trying to run the team as a rookie PG.

I might be wrong about Tyreke Evans's ability to play the point, but I don't think now is the time to find out. Let him adjust to the NBA and then give him some time at the point later in the season. You have two other guys who are very capable of playing PG.

The only reason he was used

The only reason he was used to play the point was because he needs the ball to be effective. So if he played PG he could play on the ball more. The problem is, the Kings don't have a player that can set up guys off the ball to offset that (Garcia is OK at this, but nothing special and he's out for a while anyway). There's no doubt he's not a PG, but to be at his best he has to have the ball, and PG's have the ball the most of all players.

iguodala9 on Evans

I agree with your excellent comments above, Tyreke Evans needs the ball in his hands, so they're playing him at the point. The downside is what you alluded to, they then become a team with nobody setting up anyone else. I'm sure we can agree that in order to succeed in basketball, every team needs an outstanding PG to direct and run the team.

In sum, I think what they're doing is a mistake and Sacramento will pay the price. I still would like to see Evans at SG, I'm guessing that move would improve team chemistry.

Alright, anyone who's

Alright, anyone who's familiar with my posts knows I've said from the begining that Jennings will go down as the best player from this draft. They'd also know that I think Evans is super overrated. With all that it's way too early to start predicting anything. We're starting the second week of the season. Let's see how these rookies do in Feb when they're working on their 50th+ game and the wall starts showing itself.

exactly injuries is part of

exactly injuries is part of the game..i remeber a article when they polled the players about injuries and most of them said they are never 100percent healthy because you really dont have time to fully get healed with all the practices and games. jennings did out play rose but im not gonna go as far as say hes a better pg cuz right now hes not even close because he only played a couple games where as rose has played a season played pretty damn good in the playoffs and is the current rookie of the year..so im not gonn aget carried away and say jennings is better then rose
