What are the Knicks doing for Next Year?

Let me start by saying Donnie Walsh is doing a great job in NY, hes done everything right so far in turning this franchise around

But here is one big question.... Who is going to be the Knicks PG for next year

There are no real options in the 2010 class, they are giving up their first round draft pick to Jazz, I cant see Lebron coming to a team without a stable PG

They definitely should have sacrificed some cap space and signed Ramon Sessions, that was his one mistake

Can any one name one legitimate choice for PG next year

Well the Knicks will have

Well the Knicks will have some options.

Option A- Wait 2 years... Ricky Rubio

Option B- Sign Sebastian Telfair....maybe playing in New York will finally bring out the best in him.

Option C- Sign Raymond Felton...right now he looks to be the best unrestricted PG free agent next year.  He would fit pretty well in the Knicks' system.

Personally I think the Knicks need to just stay patient.  I think their best bet is too trade for Rubio when the time comes.

well

well they drafted Toney Douglas. Who looked real good in summer league, really impressed the coaches with his game management. Not saying he will be the starter next year, but he has the potential to be the man.

Yeah,I cant really say

Yeah,I cant really say Donnie Walsh has done a great or a good job so far....Lets see first he hired Dantoni, who seems alergic to teaching defense...Sorry just cant win a title or go deep in the playoffs if you dont play D! And thats ultimately what NY Knicks fans want...A Title!

Second he drafted Jordan Hill when he had Young Money Jennings sitting on the board...Hill isnt even in the rotation on a really bad Knicks team right now, while Jennings looks like he has the potential to be an elite young point guard

Third hes throwing all his eggs in a basket with the off hand chance King James signs with them...How bad would it look if there neighbors The Nets landed Lebron! A new arean in Brookyln,A new owner with deep pockets,Jay Z's backing,a roster of really good young talent like Harris,Lopez,CDR,Lee...

The Garden might be empty next year!

gatorheels option

I think A would be the direction they would go to but I am very much intrigued with your Option B on having Sebastian Telfair coming in and be the PG for them... I still think he has a chance but we may never know... Still, I think he could flourish under D'Antoni's system...

plzzz

dey wont get stephs cuz here thats funny

garden will never be empty. if it was empty when ishia was here why wud we leave. just went to 76ers vs knick game it was crazy there imagine us if we were good lol

whyd we draft hill? when we have lee allready we needed a flashy pg who will attract big freeagents that is the description of bjennings. he was a big hit or miss kind of guy but t looks like hes hitting it out da ballpark. douglass cant shoot. i shoot better then him no lie shudda drafted jennings den summers or blair with the 29th pik only mistake by walsh buy its was costly

i like rubio option only if they dont overpay some because the get frustrated because they dont get lebron.we better not get boozer he doesnt fit the system. knicks wanna b a run n gun team but with a pg who slows it down every play they play rele slow

It has been reported in

It has been reported in Greece and Italy that next season Spanoulis will be the Knicks starting point guard.

more Pg's available than you think.

Felton, Foye, Alson, Rubio, Sergio Rodriguez, Kyle Lowry plenty of PG's available via trade too.
Not interesed in Telfair though.
If Minny gets the top pick they have to take Wall they might trade 2 of their 3 Pg's you never know with this Kahn guy.

You don't need a top pg if you have Lebron, not sure y he wouldn't come here becaz of that.

I doubt Spanoulis will be

I doubt Spanoulis will be the next PG. He was traded from the Spurs to the Rockets a while ago and then asked to be waived, so he could return to Europe.

Seriously, I am sick and tired of people saying that players will fluorish under D'Antoni's system. Why? Because he plays no defence and a 100mph offence? That just says to me that anyone who does fluorish is not a complete basketball player - i.e. Telfair, Milicic, Jeffries, Robinson etc.

Telfair is a backup in this league, and just because he could return to NY, doesn't necessarily mean he will be good. The Knicks made a huge mistake not signing Sessions or drafting Jennings and instead went for Jordan Hill. Why draft him when Harrington and Lee are locked in? More inexplicable madness from a tragic organisation.

Nash

Dont forget Steve Nash will be available. He lives in New York in the offseason and of course loves Dantoni. They might be able to get him at a good price, and he could give them a good couple years. Who knows?

Well

Lee, Harrington both are free agents. One of them probably won't be back.

Hindsight is 20-20 on

Hindsight is 20-20 on Jennings even though me and a few other Knicks fans were dying to get him over Hill and even Curry. Toney Douglas may prove to be a serviceable PG but neither him nor Duhon are much better than good backups. Best move might be to save cap space for the incomparable CP3 who will probably jump ship ourt of New Orleans as soon as possible. Gallinari has shown that he can distribute as well as be a sharpshooter with killer instinct. He can provide a Turkgolu-like presence for the Knicks with better shooting. Isiah should come back just to make draft picks for the Knicks. He wouldnt have passed on BJ.
