Mr. Candace Parker

I felt mentioning Mr. Candace Parker here since we talked about him being a B-U-S-T by the time he was drafted 5th overall by Atlanta last 2006. But right now, Shelden Williams has found a home at Boston and he's been pretty much comfortable with Doc's system and with the team. He has had games where he posted 10 and 9 and there was the game against the Bulls where he did a solid job off the bench at 12 and 10. He could be the PJ Brown of the Celtics 2008 but byfar, Williams has been pretty impressive and has done a stellar job in relieving Perkins. Though, he'll never be a major star, but I think Shelden Williams can be a big piece should the C's win it all this year... Like I predicted before, he could be an Antonio Davis type of player that can be a factor off the bench. The fact is it's only 4 games byfar but he definitely caught my attention...

What do you think of this guy so far as a Celtic?

PS: Tommy Heinsohn should be fired as a Celtic Analyst... Biased...Biased...Biased... I hate it when announcers/commentators go biased.

He is doing what he has been

He is doing what he has been asked. There is no pressure on him anymore because no-one expects much out of him. It can't hurt to learn from Wallace and Garnett either.

Great point..Good to see him

Great point..Good to see him get his confidence back ..I never thought he'll be a hall of famer..But i thoughthe'd play better than he did with the hawks...After he left the t-wolves nobody wanted him..Playing in doc's system and learning from kg & wallace will helped him alot...........

Agreed

Agreed with all points. I don't think he should be given so much flack for being picked 5th. That should be all on the Hawks. They were probably the only team that would have drafted him that high. He's the type of guy that is going to do a good job for a good team. The Hawks were starting the guy during his rookie year. If he's starting that's a big problem, but he's doing everything that has been asked and he's the type of player that is not going to hurt them. His play is good enough that once Big Baby gets back the Celts will be able to get more rest for their older bigs. I mean come on, the guy is going to be their 5th big guy. Not too many teams have a guy that far on the depth chart that is going to be that productive.

everybody on this site makes

everybody on this site makes predictions before drafts, some wrong some right. But I have to say when the hawks drafted Shelden 5th, I was shocked. That was just terrible and I was saying that a week before the draft when the rumors were spreading that they gave hima promise. With that said, it looks good that he has found his spot on a team that doesn't expect too much. He can do the little things especially if Big Baby is doing dumb things.

And I agree about Heinsohn, he is the worst. Even Sportscenter did a clip making fun of him. He sounds a like an old cranky lifelong celtics fan that blows up whenever he disagrees with a foul call. Oh wait, that's exactly what he is.

I agree

I always thought he was a solid role player I couldnt believe when he was picked 5 in the draft he has a solid role on a good team and he knows his role which is good for him and the celtics. I also hate Heinson he is one of the worst whenever i watch a celtics game i turn down the volume but there are several announcers that are as bad like stu lance for the lakers he is horrible i yell at the tv when i watch those bums the lakers he is so biased but i guess thats what they pay these home announcers for. some good announcers that i acutally like the clippers home announcers are pretty good they tell it how it is and the golden state announcers.

With that being said about

With that being said about Sheldon Williams being a solid role player and being label a bust because he was drafted 5 by the stupid Atlanta Gms. Do you think Hansborough another hyped college star who was drafted13 will be a solid role player or more.

i would take hansbrough over

i would take hansbrough over shelden, but both are probably just role players. I thought tyler should have gone more like 20th, but he was impressive in the orlando summer league scoring like 20 a game and hitting his 3's even. I think he will be a good backup.

and to chicgo 1980, maybe I just don't notice it because I'm a laker fan, but I don't think Stu is that bad. He defenitely never gets upset or yells. He is actually a real relax dude when he commentates and doesn't try and diss anybody hard like Heinsohn does. I agree about the clippers too, they are some of the best. Your Bulls announcers might be the second worst in my book behind the c's. Just last night the bulls announcers were ripping on Beasley for taking a quick contested 3 saying that he forced it, never mind the fact that there was 1 second on the shot clock when they passed it to him.

The bulls announcers are

The bulls announcers are pretty bad i actually listened to the miami announcers last night because they are horrible. But a lot of my friends are lakers fans and they dont like him either I just dont like the way he comes off he really never gives any other teams credit for anything. Also I hate the lakers so i might be a little biased.

LOL

I agree that the FSN Bay Area/Golden State Warrior announcers and The Clips are some of the most noteabull UNbiased people I listened to most of the time... I think Dallas would be on that list too...

Chicago, well, they do got Stacey King...LOL... I miss Johnny Red Kerr... R.I.P.
