A couple random points...

Steve Nash is one of the funniest people in the NBA, and he solidified it with his new Vitamin Water commercial with 50 Cent. His advertising Billy Mays voice is priceless... comedic gold.

Kevin Love broke his hand in the Preseason, and is expected to miss six weeks. Serious loss for the Wolves? Pecherov, Gomes, and Hollins is not good frontcourt depth to go with Jefferson... another long season...

And most importantly, Maya Moore is a freak. For her to dunk in March Madness as easily as she did, at 6'0 for a women is absurd. She's the Lebron to Taurasi's Kobe. Moore is one of the most dynamic female basketball players ever, she's only a junior, and its sad that the WNBA probably wont last much longer, because there are some extremely good basketball players in the league (Taurasi and Parker) and more athletic players on the way.

I hear that vitamin water

I hear that vitamin water commercial is funny..I wanna see for myself.

Huge loss for the T-Wolves. They were banking on a big improvement from his already good rookie year and none of their PF replacements are good enough to adequately replace him.

Yea Maya Moore could very well be the most versatile and well-rounded talent to play women's basketball. I remember watching her team in HS before a boys game in the playoffs when she went to Collins Hill in Atlanta and I was convinced she could play NCAA men's ball and hold her own. She's as talented a girl as I've ever seen.

For the Maya Moore dunk, it

For the Maya Moore dunk, it was #1 on the Top Ten of ESPN tonight. Tonight is Midnight Madness for many programs.

And the WNBA has seriously lost money in these tough economic times. They have a hard time getting ratings and an even harder time filling arenas. They lost one of their model franchises in Houston, and it doesn't look go for markets like Minnesota and San Antonio. Hopefully they can survive, because I think like all long lasting leagues, the talent level will improve dramatically in 10 years. Will the WNBA be around then? Only time will tell....

Candace Parker. she's skilled for bein big but I think I could D her up. I would try to keep her out of the block. Who think they hang with wnba players in a pick-up game?

let's see, Nash is funny,

let's see,

Nash is funny, check out my thread on him. Love being injured really hurts the wolves, but they were gonna be garbage regardless. And who is Maya Moore? seriously, do you guys actually care about girls ball? To answer eprizzle, there is not a wnba player that could even try to hang with me on a bball court. No way no how.

And I'm sorry. If you arent a Division 1 player, you cannot hang with a WNBA player. Just because theyre women doesnt mean they cant play, and they put in a ton of work to get better. Maya Moore and Candice Parker would absolutely kill any one on this site. I have no doubt about that. I bet Maya's taller and more athletic than most people on this site. 6' 170 with a solid 35" vert? Lets get real.

Mkadoza, it's impossible to

Mkadoza, it's impossible to tell, but I've played countless hours of ball aginst D1 level men, and when I watch wnba games, I'm not impressed. It's not like I make myself feel good by saying I'm better at ball then girls, but I do think I am, period. I went to the best juco bball college in california and used to practice against both the men's and womens state championship teams, the girls were like junior high level.

I practiced with the

I practiced with the Syracuse Women Team, and they weren't the elite. But they played harder than most guys players I've played against (Short list Mookie Jones, Hilton Armstrong from my home town, Demitris Nichols, Paul Harris, scoop Jardine at Cuse) But we're talking about WNBA. You've played against D-1 comp. Have you beat them? Are you as good as a D-1 player? Because if your not, I'm taking the professionals every day. How tall are you? Because I would put money down that Moore would swat your shot to next Tuesday if you tried to post her. And are you comparing a Juco to the WNBA? The difference between top d-1 schools and mid level is stark with womens basketball. Maya Moore won player of the year as a sophomore and big east player of the year as a freshman. Uconn womens team is a whole other league.

Mkadoza, who knows maybe

Mkadoza, who knows maybe you're right. I'm just not seeing a wnba player beating me. They shoot set shots, blow lay ups and have slow cross overs. As for my pedigree, I'm 6-4, I rode the pine in highschool, but we had a good team and all 5 atarters played college ball. I have played against some pretty good comp including Tyson Chnadler and Gilbert Arenas in highschool and countless D1 players. So I have a pretty good idea of what high level talent looks like. I'm not trying to diss female players. But there is not a doubt in my mind that i have played against tougher comp then lisa leslie and candice parker.

Arenas was actually not the

Arenas was actually not the most impressive player in highschool. He balled at Grant high in North Hollywood. He was very good, but nothing that made me think he would be an nba player. Not hatin, cause he balled, just surprised he went as far as he did.

I only played against Arenas

I only played against Arenas once his senior year, so I'm not gonna act like I knew his game to a T. But honestly, he was a very good athlete, but nothing that made me think he was gonna be a pro.

What high school did you go to? If you have played against Dominguez, then your school must be good.

I went to Oxnard High. We

I went to Oxnard High. We played against Dominguez in the 1999 Watts summer games. It was a 64 team tournament, and they were beatin everybody by 40. We met them in the elite 8 and lost by 20, which was the closest game they had the entire tournament. Their third stringers were throwin down dunks. You pretty much had to be D1 level to get any PT for Dominguez. Tayshaun Prince also went there
