John Wall & DeMarcus Cousins

Look at this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3rsjJQz0GGE you will also find many others, Wall looks amazing, even his 3-point shooting looks decent, and Cousins is the beast, what a size&skills combination, might even not worse than Sidney's

That was impressive, alot of

That was impressive, alot of talent shown there.

Wall showed everything I thought he had and he has a decent shot but he doesn't have consistent range (as I've always said).

Cousins showed a high skill level (as shown by that transition push he took coast-to-coast, and even threw in a behind-the-back for good measure) and he has alot of size,

Bledsoe is alot like Rajon Rondo, he's going to be a good prospect in 2011.

I still think Joe Crawford (who played in the scrimmage) could play a Von Wafer type role in the NBA, if someone would give him a chance.

yeah i see that alot in

yeah i see that alot in scrimmages...dont get to excited or judge too hard because its not a real game its basically open gym.. shaq looks like a 3 in open gym for those who have seen him play in pickup games. anyone who has played college ball will tell you some guys look like all americans in open gym and look liek they can play multiple position but its alot different then the actual game

yeah but i dont traslate it

yeah but i dont traslate it to a actually game. you cant say because someone dominates open gym or shoots like ray allen in open gym, that they will do that in a actually game. too many peopel on here do that though..just like when someone dominates nba summer leauge and people start saying its a sure thing that a player will dominate in the regular season....i guess im more of a realest you know. im a show me when they lights are on type guy. i like open gym stuff as much as the next guy but as a player i know the difference between the 2 too not get overly excited you know

I mean, you can tell alot of

I mean, you can tell alot of the stuff they were doing wasn't going to translate to an actual game, like the behind the back passes in traffic and walking up the court and stuff. But you can also tell they have talent and most of stuff they did. You have to show ability in practice sessions and open gym games to get to play in actual games.

yeah im not disputing that

yeah im not disputing that they have talent but im just saying open gym is open gym..alot of players score easier or do things easier because the defense isnt game time defense as well as offense. the speed is slower also and most of the players arent gonna box out or attack like they usually would. its just such a big difference that i dont take stock in it since ive seen it through playing on hs college and overseas level and from when my brother wa sin training camps for some nba teams. there was always one or two players who looked great in open gym but when the lights came on it was alot different and just about all the players go about 75 percent on offense in open gym and maybe 50 on defense. liek the comment dude up there made about cousins 3 and handles not being worst then sidney just from a open gym game...come on now

Q most people dont

Q most people dont understand the difference of scrimmages and actually games. and i always wonder how peopel can say a player who hasnt played one college game is comparable to a starting nba player just from watching highschool games against inferior competition or in a scrimmage against youre teammates. when you are playing against other college gys when the lights are on and the pressure is one and you have to worry about being subed out and you dont know exactly the type of skills the player you are playing against has then its alot different then going against guys you play against all the time and know what they can or cant do. yes thes guys are very talented and could potenially be pretty good but no one knows what they will do untill they play in a actualy game. someone said alot of these same things about ed davis during his scrimmage and how he was gonna start over thompson and how he would dominate but then when the season started we all saw that he was a 6th man instead of starting because open gym is more wide open and alot less structure which makes it easier to score handle the ball and make shots since the defense is alot more lax and theres no coaching to set up defenses to stop you
