mount rushmore of basketball

Who's on it? 4 faces only. You can do an NBA only one or include all of basketball.

yeah it is tough. Todays

yeah it is tough. Todays players have a road block because it is hard to overcome what the legends have contributed. Maybe we should split it up into some categories.

Players: Jordan, Kareem, Wilt, Russell

coaches: Auerback, Phil Jackson, Wooden, ...Riley?

miscelaneous: James Naismith, Chick Hearn, Stern, ...?

Terrible announcer...i had to lower the lower the volume on the TV when he was calling games...Constantly would get players names wrong and would mistake players for someone else...

haha, yeah Chick was the worst announcer for like the last 10 years of his life. No offense, though because he invented a lot of terms and words like alley-oop and stuff. But he was terrible. He wouldn't just get the names wrong, he would be talking about players who weren't even playing for either team. It would be like if Scalibrine scored on the thunder, he would say "you gotta like the Kevin Love character out there. He was a great player in college at villanove teaming up with Richard Jefferson playing for coach K. He would get the whole damn game wrong, but he was such a leagend no one would say anything.

here are mine, but just

here are mine, but just compared to the real mount rushmore

George Washington = James Naismith - the founding father of basketball
Abraham Lincoln = Bill Russell - Tall, Stoic, and Bearded like Lincoln, at least, but has the most championships of any player
Thomas Jefferson = Michael Jordan - arguably the best ever, changed the game, there is no doubt he should be there
Teddy Roosevelt = Wilt Chamberlain - Big Personality, trail blazer, just like Roosevelt blazed the trails out west Wilt, did so in basketball, they even had to change the rules of the game so he wouldn't be so dominant.
