Former Houston Rockets center Ralph Sampson also was inducted on Friday night. Jamaal Wilkes, the third-best player on the Showtime Lakers of the 1980s, won four NBA titles and two NCAA championships. He was also inducted this weekend in Springfield, Massachusetts.

There are lessons Beal still has to learn, but early success is raising expectations. Still, the Wizards are demanding more from the rookie. Based on how easily things have been coming for him so far, Beal probably needs to be pushed for his own good.
